‘Yellowstone’ Fan Favorite Joins ‘Landman’ Season 2
Landman Season 2 was recently confirmed by Paramount+, and there is some additional good news ahead of the eventual second season, based on the latest tea making the rounds. It turns out, there’s a good chance that a familiar face who was part of the Yellowstone universe could soon be part of the Landman franchise with this next season. So, who is it, and what can viewers expect?
Landman Has Been A Huge Hit With Fans
When it comes to first seasons of shows making a good impression on fans, it’s a hit-or-miss world in television, particularly with which shows, ultimately, stick around for more seasons. When it comes to Landman, however, this show has been a major hit with fans.
Deep in the heart of Texas, Landman tells the story of roughnecks and billionaires who are trying to strike it rich in the oil business. It’s another show created by Taylor Sheridan, who has been building the Yellowstone universe as well over the last few years, in addition to many other successful shows.
This time around, however, Landman stars veteran Hollywood actor Billy Bob Thornton as crisis executive, Tommy Norris. He has the tall task of trying to bring his company to the top amid this fueling boom, and there are a lot of pitfalls that come with it.
Popular Yellowstone Alum Joining Landman Season 2?
With Taylor Sheridan at the helm of so many popular shows, he has a list of A-list actors eager for a part in one of his many programs. Based on the latest speculation making the rounds, it looks like a famous face from his Yellowstone franchise could be taking part in Landman Season 2.
It turns out, Hollywood heavyweight Sam Elliott is reportedly set to join Billy Bob Thornton when the popular series returns for its second season. Yellowstone fans last saw Sam Elliott in 1883, where he helped immigrants in their search for a new life in America.
Sam Elliott has always been a sure bet when it comes to anything to do with Westerns, and while Landman takes place in a more modern setting than 1883 did, it still has that familiar, rugged edge that Taylor Sheridan brings to all of his projects.
Elliott Would Be An Ideal Choice For Landman Season 2
In addition to a starring role in 1883, Sam Elliott was also in iconic films like Tombstone and Roadhouse. The depth and grit he brings to his roles make him an ideal candidate to join the Landman cast for Season 2. Even at his age, Elliott proved that he still has plenty left in the tank with his 1883 role, and fans would love nothing more than to see him join the Landman cast.
While Paramount+ has not officially confirmed Elliott’s casting, nor filming or release dates for the second season of the show, many are hopeful that Elliott will join the cast.
