‘Teen Mom’ Tyler Baltierra Confesses Epic Marital Mistake
Teen Mom star, Tyler Baltierra is confessing his epic marital mistake when it comes to his wife, Catelynn Lowell. They have been together since middle school and have seen extreme highs and lows in their relationship. Now, he is opening up about one of the biggest errors but what is it? A Shocking Teen Mom Moment
MTV viewers have watched Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell grow up before their very eyes. The couple started out as pregnant teens on 16 & Pregnant. They ultimately decided to give their daughter, Carly up for adoption. Essentially, they wanted her to have a better life than they did and knew another family could do this. Unfortunately, that adoption, despite being open, has haunted Tyler and Cate which was seen on Teen Mom. Although they had three more daughters and got married, the adoption was always a struggle.
As of the last year, communication between the couple and Carly has been cut off. Therefore, they have lashed out on social media and now have taken their issues to a new podcast, Cate & Ty Break It Down. They have discussed why they put Carly up for adoption and other pressing subjects. The latest was something Tyler said that was extremely hurtful to Catelynn. It was during Season 6 of Teen Mom and their daughter, Nova, had just been born. Cate was looking to lose weight and was thinking about joining Weight Watchers. As she was eating a chicken and cheese quesadilla, Tyler asked how many WW points it was.

Catelynn shared it was seven points but Tyler doubted that, saying it was a really big quesadilla. He then proceeded to tell his wife she could do what she wanted with her body. However, he added this:
“Obviously, I don’t want no heifer for a wife, but you know… I mean…”
The show’s producers were stunned by this and he backed up his comments:
“I’m being honest! Would you wanna be married to some big heifer?”
They had been talking about her weight even when the cameras were not on. Yet, Catelynn Lowell feels production put an “awkward spin” on it.
Tyler’s Big Mistake
Admittedly, Tyler Baltierra now knows that it was extremely insensitive of him to talk that way. He confessed that:
“I messed up tremendously.”
Catelynn noted that this moment will forever haunt her husband. At the same time, Tyler never meant anything bad by what he said, he just wishes his delivery was better. Catelynn has stated that Season 6 was incredibly painful for her and she believed that it was focused on her weight over anything. Yet, Tyler is making it clear he was not calling his wife a heifer. Rather, he meant he did not want to be married to someone like that. After the Teen Mom stars’ podcast debuted, what were fans’ thoughts, and did they understand the couple?
