When Meghan Trainor released her debut single, “All About That Bass” in 2014, it was a smash hit that was everywhere. It was one of those songs with an infectious hook that people sang along to, whether they wanted to or not, and it helped propel Trainor into the spotlight as a result.
“All About That Bass” was a catchy way to promote body positivity for plus-size listeners and people who were not toothpick thin, and in this regard, a lot of people gravitated to it based on its message, delivered in a quirky and fun way.
All these years later, it’s a song that people still remember. Even though she has released music since then, it’s a song that she will always be associated with.
Trainor Surprises Her Followers With Shocking Weight Loss
Because, even all these years later, fans associate Meghan Trainor with her hit song, “All About That Bass,” followers were shocked recently when the singer showed off her stunning weight loss. Trainor looks unrecognizable compared to how viewers first met her years ago, and she has completely slimmed down.
While dropping all of this weight seems to have been a personal choice, and one that is more than likely better for her health in the long run, a lot of her followers roasted her for essentially turning into the very thing she swore that she would never become when she dropped that hit single.
To be fair, a lot can happen in a span of years, as people grow, change, and value different things. However, that still did not stop many of her followers from calling this out.

While some of Trainor’s fans are supportive of her melting the pounds, others see this as a direct contradiction of the message she had when she first came onto the scene. Of course, a lot has happened in her life over the last decade or so. So, in that regard, it’s not entirely surprising that she, too, would change. Even so, however, people still called her out.
