‘Gold Rush’ What Happened To The Infamous Mansion?

Gold Rush star Parker Schnabel has been through many ups and downs throughout his gold mining career. The show almost didn’t turn out the way it is now during Season 1. Numerous cast members have left the show over the years. But there’s one thing that has kept many people curious during the first season, and it’s none other than the “mansion.” Keep reading to see the discussion.
Gold Rush: What Happened On Season 1?
The first season of Gold Rush focused on Todd Hoffman and his crew’s journey to Alaska in the hopes of mining gold. They faced many issues, especially when it came to their equipment. Financial struggles tore the crew piece by piece. There was so much drama, and some of them began to lose houses and gamble their remaining savings. They spent over $270K only to make over $20K. Some viewers believe they never made anything from gold mining, and most of their income came from the show, investors, and endorsements.

What Happened To The Mansion From Season 1?
Some Gold Rush fans on social media recalled the mansion in Season 1. According to the poster, they’re curious about what happened to the property, as it never got shown again. The OP added that Greg Remsburg was building the large cabin on land that was never his own, while Fred Hurt lived in a hut next to the massive house with five bedrooms.

Some said the house may have been sold, especially with all the financial strains they faced during Season 1. Regardless, it’s one of the many plot holes that fans have seen throughout the show. At this point, Greg is no longer active on social media, making it hard to tell what happened to the house.
- “No clue, but wouldn’t be shocked if it got hauled somewhere else for use.”
- “I’m fairly certain what he built is what Fred lives in. It looks the same from the outside. I wouldn’t call it a mansion but it was a big sturdy wood building.”
- “Oh no, there was a cut away just in one episode where Greg wasn’t on site for while, while he’s building his own McMansion on the land and brought in a ton of random friends to help. Was perhaps the most wtf moment in season 1. Todd approaches him and go “dude, what the frik — this has a walk in??””
- “Near the mine site, it was how Chris originally got involved with the Hoffmans as he was apparently a carpenter friend who came up to help Greg build it.”
- “I forgot Greg worked for Parker. Seemed like a good fit. Hope he’s doing well.”
