‘Gold Rush’ Does Parker Schnabel Regret Massive Dominion Creek Purchase?

Gold Rush star Parker Schnabel has made some huge decisions for the sake of gold. The 30-year-old has been working with Discovery Channel for many seasons, where they document their gold hauls. Parker quickly became successful in his career and has raised millions of dollars by digging up gold. However, some fans are curious if he’s starting to regret purchasing the dominion creek, which is one of his biggest investments in life. Keep reading to see why.
Gold Rush: Parker Schnabel Buys Dominion Creek
Parker made a high-stake decision at the age of 28. He used everything he had to purchase the Dominion Creek that is part of the Klondike gold district. It’s been producing gold since 1898, and he believes there’s more for him to dig. The gold in the region came from a volcanic eruption, which was then worn away by rivers. They also call the deposits “placer gold.”

Parker purchased the Dominion Creek for $15 million in the hopes of finding gold worth over $160 million. However, most of the gold deposits were buried 40 feet underground, making it difficult for the Gold Rush star and his team to make quick money. Some fans even think Parker may now be regretting his decisions.
Does Parker Regret Massive Dominion Creek Purchase?
Some Gold Rush fans on social media discussed why they think Parker Schnabel is starting to regret his decision to purchase the Dominion Creek. According to the poster, he paid a huge sum for gold that isn’t great. They also wonder if Parker will ever meet his goals or at least break even on the expenses he has made, including the $15 million investment. Others are also skeptical that he’s happy about the results of his purchase so far, though some think he’s going to be fine.

- “Honestly, they don’t reveal how much they spend on equipment, gas, and labor, we wouldn’t really know for sure. But I do remember Parker getting like 10mill last season, and he has almost 5,000 ounces of gold now, which is like another 5+ million right there. I’d hope he’s doing pretty good.”
- “I’m thinking that Parker just isn’t used to being in debt and operating with a big financial obligation. He’s got a mind for the business and if the gold in the ground is worth more than the cost to extract it, he’s going to be okay. He did the homework and while he doesn’t mind taking a risk here and there, his purchase seems to be well calculated and not a gamble.”
- “I don’t think Parker appreciated the challenges going into this year for sure.”
- “$15M was a steal on that property, even if it hasn’t been as rich as he hoped this year.”
