Valerie Bertinelli Joins New Show After Leaving Food Network
Valerie Bertinelli has had a career spanning decades, both as an actress and a television personality, especially for the Food Network. However, the star is now starting a new career path with a new show. Bertinelli even promoted the upcoming series with a post on social media.
Fans Have Come To Know Valerie Bertinelli From A Variety Of Different Roles Over The Years
For many, Bertinelli first came to fame as a teenager on the sitcom One Day at a Time. Over the years, she also had prominent roles on the drama series Touched by an Angel and the sitcom Hot in Cleveland.
In recent years, however, Bertinelli has also become known for appearing in various Food Network shows. This includes projects like Valerie’s Home Cooking and Kids Baking Championship.
As noted by Parade, it’s been about a year since Bertinelli hosted Kids Baking Championship. Now, she’s set to start a new role: the host of Bingo Blitz for the Game Show Network.
The show’s trailer has already been released. The series is expected to premiere on Monday, April 14, and will air weeknights at 7:30 PM EST.
In the video, Bertinelli announces, “Bingo is coming to Game Show Network. But, you know, around here we like color and excitement and lots of fun.”
Bertinelli Also Promoted Bingo Blitz On Social Media With A Game Of ‘This Or That’
“So, we’re taking Bingo to the next level and way beyond. We call it Bingo Blitz, and it’s like nothing you’ve seen before.”
Bertinelli concluded the video saying, “I am having so much fun and I think you will too. I cannot wait for you all to see it.”

The Game Show Network already teased what fans can expect from the upcoming series on its website. A description read, “In Bingo Blitz, two contestants compete in a dynamic blend of trivia and bingo. The ultimate game of knowledge, strategy and luck, contestants answer trivia to earn bingo balls and points.”
Bertinelli herself also promoted the show on Instagram with a game on the show called, “This or That.” During the clip, the new host shared that she preferred things like coffee to tea, texting to phone calls, Christmas to Halloween, movies to television shows, magic wand to time machine, and cooking to baking.
When asked to compare sweet or sour and pools or beaches, she had to choose both. With a question about bagels and donuts, she went with a third option: apple fritters.
Bertinelli ended the clip saying, “So, do we have anything in common? Don’t forget to watch my new show, Bingo Blitz. coming soon to Game Show Network.”
The post, which was shared by both Bertinelli and the Game Show Network, attracted fans to the comment section. Many fans noted they did have a lot in common with the star. Some comments included:
