When Calls The Heart Season 12 is coming to a close with “Must Be Gold.” Erin Krakow’s Elizabeth has been through a roller coaster season from playing Diane DiMarco on an undercover date to Little Jack’s diabetes diagnosis.

However, in a new interview, Kevin McGarry reveals that there is a lot more to come, assuming that there will be another season. What did he have to say?

Kevin McGarry Spoils Elizabeth And Nathan’s Possibilities

When Calls The Heart Season 12 is coming to a close. However, Kevin McGarry is already spoiling how this season could end and beyond.  According to an interview with The Official Hearties Aftershow, McGarry reveals that Elizabeth and Nathan are headed into “new territory.”

Again, with the changing of one’s reality, the potential of Season 13 could be rife with new story for Elizabeth and Nathan and Little Jack and Allie.

In addition, should Hallmark grant the series Season 13, McGarry thinks “Nathan and Elizabeth will be in a spot that they’ve never been before, I think anyways.” He did not say anything about an engagement, but he certainly hinted that things were going to soon be different.

He teased the Season 12, Episode 12 finale, “Must Be Gold.” “After you watch the last episode, you’ll be able to see what could happen for Nathan, Elizabeth Little Jack, and Allie.”

Looking forward to a possible renewal, Kevin McGarry thinks this is all about meeting Mountie Nathan’s mom. “Erin and I have talked about never really seeing Nathan’s mom and bringing her in and who would possibly play that part.”

He suggested Sally Field, who turns 80 next year. However, in those times, Sally would have likely been the right age to be Kevin McGarry’s grandmother. This is quite opposite of most Hallmark productions where the actor playing the parent is only a few years older than the actor playing the adult child. Therefore,  there may be a 60-year-old actress who could play Mountie Nathan’s mom, and bring in Sally Field as grandma, should she decide to continue acting.

As for Little Jack’s diabetes diagnosis, “It will change the course of those characters’ reality.”
