Hallmark Star Lyndie Greenwood Shares Cancer Diagnosis, Battle ‘Not Easy’
Sleepy Hollow alum Lyndie Greenwood has become a Hallmark fan favorite. The Crime Time: Freefall star whose infectious smile and extraordinary beauty has starred with some of the network’s biggest stars. This includes starring with Tamera Mowry-Housley in Girlfriendship, and with Holly Robinson Peete In Holiday Heritage.
Therefore, fans who have been wondering where Lyndie was got quite a surprise when she posted on social media for the first time in 2025. She announced that she is battling breast cancer.

This week, Hallmark star Lyndie Greenwood went to Instagram to share a photo of herself and shared that she has been in the battle of her life. “Hey there friends. I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been dealing with some real life stuff. The big C is a doozy! It’s complicated and ever-changing. There’s too much to say here, so I’ve started a blog. In her blog, Lyndie reveals she has invasive ductal carcinoma. This is the type of breast cancer that originates in the milk ducts. From there, the cancer spreads to the surrounding tissue. Moreover, she got the call from her doctor when she was filming an “indie road trip movie” in Vancouver, Canada.
Things worked out so that she could finish the movie before she had to go to her oncologist. The movie was “One of the most intense and rewarding experiences of my life as a creative person.” Thankfully she enjoyed that because the couple of months after did not go “as easy peasy as we all hoped.” She wound up losing her hair and is now bald, and she wound up with many scars, “Some of them visible.”

Lyndie, who has also starred in S.W.A.T., had a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. She also has to stop taking birth control, which she has taken for over 25 years for her acne. Instread, she will be taking hormone blocking pills for the next decade. In addition, she needs to take four chemotherapy treatments which are every three weeks.
However, she has shared that despite some small “bleeps,” “My prognosis is very good.” Despite sharing a lot of details, Lyndie Greenwood did not share what stage her cancer is in. The Toronto native who lives in Joshua Tree is taking this rollercoaster ride with a lot of optimism and inner strength.
She is getting a lot of support from her friends and her fans who are leaving messages on her IG.
