‘The Price Is Right’ Drew Carey Visibly Distraught For Lady’s Loss

Drew Carey seems to be one of the most connected game show hosts when it comes to how he treats the players on The Price is Right. While Steve Harvey jokes with them and Ryan Seacrest seems almost robotic, Drew seems to warm up to them and makes them feel comfortable as they take the stage to win big prizes. This led to Drew showing outward concern when one woman lost on the show this last week.
Here is what happened that caused Drew Carey to show disappointment in the woman’s loss.
Drew Carey Disappointed In Recent The Price Is Right Loss
The way that game shows work is that the shows want some players to win because that makes the audiences return for more. However, they also want some players to lose because that ensures the episodes are not financial losses. However, Drew Carey seems to want all the players to win on The Price is Right.

This played out on a recent episode where he was really cheering a woman on. When she ended up losing, Drew was visibly distraught. The woman was playing the game More or Less. Drew explained the rules to Kendra before starting.
In More or Less, a player has to guess three smaller prizes and a car as a fourth major prize. The player sees a wrong price on the first item and has to guess if it is more or less. This happens for the next prize, and then the next. If the player misses any of the guesses, the game ends, and they keep what they have won up to that point. The last guess is the car.
Kendra told Drew that her mother named her after a former The Price is Right contestant 38 years earlier. She also let Drew know that she was getting married. With this said, Drew wanted her to win (via The Express).
How Did Kendra Do On The Price Is Right?
Announcer George Gray said that Kendra had a chance to win workout equipment, a shuffleboard table, a laptop, and a new Hyundai. She played More or Less with the smaller prizes. She guessed the workout equipment was more than $500. She guessed the shuffleboard table was less than $2,500. She guessed the laptop was less than $3,500.

However, when it came to the new Hyundai, the price read $24,500. She guessed more, and that was wrong. Drew looked crestfallen that Kendra didn’t win the car, knowing it would have been a perfect wedding present. However, he didn’t let it get Kendra down. She still won the other prizes.
“You got all these prizes, Kendra,” Drew said. He then turned to the audience and said, “And if anyone out there just had a baby, and they’re looking for a nice baby name, I think Kendra would be a lovely one.”
