Could the Hallmark Channel possibly make a sequel to their hit movie A Biltmore Christmas? Hallmark Media has not made any sort of announcement. However, a recent social media post by a viewer who talked to one of the stars indicates that something is brewing. Who let this cat out of the bag and what do other viewers think about a sequel?

Could the Hallmark Channel make a sequel to A Biltmore Christmas? This is the time-travel romance that stars Bethany Joy Lenz, and Kristoffer Polaha. In addition, two Star Trek legends also star. That includes The Next Generation star Jonathan Frakes, who just so happens to be married to General Hospital legend Genie Francis. In addition, Voyager star Robert Picardo also stars.
According to the synopsis, “Lucy Hardgrove is a screenwriter who lands the job of a lifetime when she’s hired to pen the script for a remake of the beloved holiday movie, His Merry Wife! First filmed in 1947 at beautiful, historic Biltmore House, it has long been considered a Christmas classic. When the head of the studio isn’t satisfied with the ending Lucy wrote because it deviates from the original’s feel-good conclusion, he sends Lucy to Biltmore Estate for research and inspiration. While there, she unwittingly discovers the ability to travel to the 1947 set of His Merry Wife! through the help of an hourglass.”
“After shaking off the initial shock of this turn of events, Lucy embraces this as her chance to uncover the truth about the movie’s original ending. While on set, she and Jack Huston, one of the film’s stars, spend time together and become close. But her sudden appearance has set up a chain of events that put the production in jeopardy. Before she can return to the present, Lucy must make things right or threaten to alter the future forever”
The ending seemed to be the end. That is, until a social media post hinted that there could be more.
What Do Fans Think About A Biltmore Christmas Sequel?
Although Hallmark has not said anything about a possible Biltmore Christmas sequel, a viewer found out that this could possibly happen. It turns out that this is a Jonathan Frakes fan who took a photo with him and they shared it on social media. The superfan wrote, “Just spoke to Jonathan Frakes! He told me that Hallmark wants to make another Biltmore Christmas movie. They just contacted him about it. There’s been issues with flooding in the Biltmore hotel in North Carolina where the movie was filmed.”

- I loved A Biltmore Christmas. Saying that, I hope they don’t do another. It ended on a perfect note. Do a different movie, a new movie. Same cast, director, writer, location, etc. But a whole new story.
- The movie was about time travel so there are endless possibilities for plotlines. Jonathan mentioned that his character is a time traveler. Which was hinted at in the movie, but not explicitly stated.
Could the Hallmark Channel make a sequel? It sounds very possible. They have made sequels from other top movies such as Three Wise Men, and Haul Out The Holly, which is rumored to have a third movie this Countdown To Christmas.
However, it also seems possible that this could be a new themed yearly series that could be like the Time For Us, or Godwink series. It seems possible that time traveler Jonathan Frakes could lead more couples through many eras at the Biltmore Estate. Moreover, there could be more magic in that hourglass.
