‘Unexpected’ Jenna Ronan Shames Non-Breastfeeding Women
Unexpected star, Jenna Ronan seemingly shamed women who opt not to or cannot breastfeed. She has been a big advocate for breastfeeding her sons, Luca and Jimmy Rich. Yet, it is not so easy for all women and they have now slammed her for being so tone-deaf. Keep reading for more details.
Jenna Ronan Shames Non-Breastfeeding Women
It is not a good time for Unexpected’s Jenna Ronan. She just body-shamed “fat” people which caused a lot of backlash. There have also been questions about how she makes her money and her back-and-forth relationship with her fiance, JJ Della. The two appeared to have split shortly after their son, Jimmy Rich was born. Jenna went on to share a bunch of disturbing details about her romance with JJ and made him seem extremely unwell. Now, they are posing together and everything seems to be flowing just fine.
Recently, Jenna made a video talking about how she is getting slammed for still breastfeeding Jimmy. He is now sixteen months old and that apparently rubbed people the wrong way. She defended her decision, saying he is still a baby and that it’s fine to do this until they are around 2 or 2.5. Shortly after making this video, a follower pointed out how it’s not so easy to breastfeed for some moms. They may need formula, which is very expensive plus milk may not always come in. Therefore, a lot of work has to be done to even attempt and it’s not free. Jenna soon clapped back with another video and she was even more unkind.

She noted that not much is needed to successfully breastfeed. Mothers just need breasts and a baby but that’s it. They do not need a pump or bottles, but if a mother does have to work and pump, she shared that most insurance companies will pay for them. Jenna Ronan went on to simplify having a baby by saying all one needs is a baby, a safe place for them, clothes, and diapers.
The Breastfeeding Fallout
After followers saw this video that Jenna Ronan made, they were not completely happy with how she spoke. One person noted that many women struggle or cannot breastfeed to which Jenna disputed that. Others just flat-out insulted her intelligence:
- Well, in her defense, she is painfully dumb and unbelievably naive
- That video was awful . She is so out of touch
Then there were those who commented on the all-around cost of breastfeeding and it was not solely monetary:
- Breastfeeding is only free/less expensive if we don’t value women’s time.
- The mental toll of breastfeeding/pumping/working is extremely expensive.
- She’s so out of touch. My sister wanted so bad to breastfeed and couldn’t. She tried everything available to try and her milk just never came in. There’s so many women that can’t breastfeed for different reasons.
Regardless of what route a new mother chooses, it is their decision. Some followers said Jenna needed to stop talking into her phone all day while others simply stated that she needed to be unfollowed. The more fans watch her videos, the more money she makes and she will just keep going.
