His last reported weight was 429 pounds. But he continued to suffer from obstacles throughout his weight loss journey. He regained some weight after the surgery. He became lethargic, causing him to lose the motivation to stay physically active.

However, his wife threatened to leave him again, which motivated him to get back on track. In 2019, Gideon was hospitalized after blood was discovered in his stool. The reason behind it wasn’t revealed, but he assured fans that he’s still following Dr. Now’s weight loss regimens.
