‘Duck Dynasty’ Phil Robertson Health Miracle, Prayers Answered
In recent months, the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame have been sharing updates with fans over patriarch Phil Robertson’s health. Late last year, Phil was notably diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. However, a recent update has the family thanking fans for their prayers.
Jase Robertson Shared What The Family Is ‘Very Grateful For’ From Fans
Phil is best known for fans as the patriarch of the Robertson family on Duck Dynasty. He is the founder of the Duck Commander, which is known for its namesake duck call.
In recent months, the family has been sharing updates over Phil’s health. Notably, this comes out as the series is expected to return for a revival.
Recently, as noted by The Christian Post, Al and Jase Robertson shared on update on the “Relatable” podcast with Allie Beth Stuckey. In particular, Jase noted that coming forward with Phil’s health might have been for the best.
As Jase noted, “[Phil’s] spirit became better.” He continued, “I just really believe now more than ever in the power of prayer, and you get as many people [as possible] praying for my dad, and we’re very grateful for that.”
Looking back at before the family first broke the news, Jase noted, “I was thinking that he only had a few days to live.” He continued, “When we went public with it, I was amazed because I took my son down there and he was like, ‘Well, he’s doing a lot better than I thought.’”

Jase also told his son, who hadn’t seen his grandfather Phil since his condition worsened, that “this is the best I’ve seen him in months.” As he added, “I just chalked it up to answered prayer.” He also claimed, “There’s a spirit about him that’s at peace.”
Al, the eldest of the Robertson children, also noted their father’s condition seem to change “day-to-day.” He explained, “So, one day, he may be a little bit stronger mentally and physically than another day.”
Notably, another podcast, “Unashamed with the Robertson Family Podcast,” was also how the family first broke the news about Phil’s health. This wasn’t lost on Al. On the “Relatable” podcast, he noted, “It was his podcast to begin with, Jase and I just kind of tagged along at the beginning.”
In addition to his Alzheimer’s diagnosis, the family revealed back in December that Phil is fighting “blood disease.” It was noted the issue was “causing all kinds of problems.” Al also added, “He’s had multiple back fractures and even one in his tailbone.”
Notably, this also comes out as the family is set to make their return to television with a series revival. Known as Duck Dynasty: The Revival, it will focus on Phil’s son Willie and his growing family. As previously reported, Phil is not expected to be part of the revival.
