‘Love After Lockup’ Andrea & Lamar Shocking Life Update
Love After Lockup couple Andrea Edwards and Lamar Jackson are just now sharing a shocking life update. They were one of the very first couples on the hit WeTV series. More so, it looked like they would make it the distance but are they still together, or did everything fall apart? Keep reading for more details.
Love After Lockup Andrea & Lamar Shocking Life Update
Andrea Edwards and Lamar Jackson were one of the couples that kicked off Love After Lockup. He had been incarcerated for eighteen years for robbery with a deadly weapon. After serving twelve years, he met Andrea via a pen pal site. They soon fell in love and when he was released, began their lives together. By the end of the season, they tied the knot but also had another surprise. While Lamar was locked up, the two had conceived a baby. He and Andrea had snuck off and conceived their daughter, Priscilla.
Lamar was in a pretty bad car accident about a year ago and Andrea asked for prayers. He had also been previously arrested again, maybe a few times since their season aired. Things were constantly up and down for him but they appeared to be sticking together. No recent updates came up regarding Andrea or Lamar but that has all changed and it is not looking good. According to a Reddit thread, Andrea took to her social media to share that she was officially divorced. It appears she put a meme on her Instagram stories about leaving the courthouse with a finalized divorce.
From the looks of it, Andrea was not the slightest bit upset about ending her Love After Lockup marriage. Furthermore, she was proud to share the news with her fans and followers. The OP wrote this:
- I guess my hope of ever seeing this couple again is crushed. I’m not sure if Andrea was divorced before and is referring to that but I think it’s safe to say it’s for Lamar. He did recently go to jail too, like last year. They were such good tv!! How could they do this to us

Many were thrilled for Lamar and wanted to know what he had to say. However, others were hopeful that Andrea’s children were okay. Fortunately, it seems the eldest ones went to college and the youngest is thriving.
