‘Love After Lockup’ Josh Hyatt’s Shocking Charges & Bond Revealed
Former Love After Lockup star, Josh Hyatt’s shocking charges and excessively high bond have been revealed. He was initially arrested in October 2024 but the details were not all there just yet. Now, the tea has been spilled and it does not look good for him whatsoever. So, what is Josh looking at for his future, and will he even have a future? Keep reading for more details.
Josh Hyatt’s Shocking Charges & Bond Revealed
Viewers first met Josh Hyatt when he appeared on Love After Lockup alongside his girlfriend, Cheryl Childers. She admittedly had a weird obsession with serial killers and just so happened to be doing a school project on them. That was when she stumbled across Josh and no, he was not a serial killer. Rather, he was incarcerated for robbing a bank and was serving a six-year sentence. Her friends and family were unsure about this dalliance but she was smitten with Josh and vice versa.
Cheryl spent tens of thousands of dollars on Josh but convinced her family that he was a good person. Though they had a lot of chemistry, it was far more toxic than she had imagined. Cheryl also had a combative relationship with Josh’s mother. They broke up and she moved on with another inmate. Josh kept getting into trouble and now, he is back behind bars and it does not look like he will be out anytime soon.
According to Starcasm, Josh Hyatt was arrested back in October 2024 as part of a drug ring. 13.5 kilograms of fentanyl, 5.4 kilograms of meth, 9 grams of heroin, and more were seized by the cops. There were ten participants, Josh allegedly being one of them, and his current girlfriend, Asia Ralstin. His bond has been set at one million dollars and Attorney General Phil Weiser said this on Friday, January 24th:
“The statewide grand jury indicted 10 people on a total of 25 counts in an alleged drug trafficking ring that spanned from Adams County to Prowers County between February and October of 2024.”
What Are The Charges?
As for the Love After Lockup alum’s charges, they are lengthy. Josh Hyatt is facing 11 criminal charges, including:
- [3 COUNTS] Conspiracy to distribute fentanyl (over 50 grams)
- [3 COUNTS] Conspiracy to distribute meth (over 112 grams)
- [2 COUNTS] Conspiracy to distribute heroin (7-112 grams)
- Conspiracy to distribute cocaine (over 225 grams)
- [2 COUNTS] Conspiracy to Distribute Schedule I/II (cocaine) (14-225 grams)
He will appear in court twice in February 2025 but it is unknown what will happen from there. Again, he was already in prison for six years and then could not stay on a straight path after his release. This was a lengthy sting operation so we will keep you updated the more that comes out.
