Leonard Simmons Using The Trust Fund

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Teresa Reveles was appointed as the interim co-trustee of Richard’s trust after his death in July 2024. However, Reveles claims that Leonard, who was also named a trustee, defied the court’s order and made key decisions about the trust without her consent. She accused him of refusing to hand over important documents regarding the administration of the trust. Making it difficult for her to perform her duties.

Teresa’s lawyer wrote that Leonard’s actions were not only frustrating her ability to serve as co-trustee but also creating a false record that blamed her for any trust problems. According to the lawyer, Leonard has been using the trust’s resources to fight against Teresa. Which has left the trust in a difficult financial situation. They claimed Leonard spent an alarming $566,654 on legal battles aimed at removing Teresa from her role. All while refusing to make any distributions to Richard’s beneficiaries, despite the trust being intended to benefit them.

In addition to the legal fees, Reveles accused Leonard of spending another $277,200 on providing round-the-clock armed security at Richard’s home. Together, these expenses total more than $843,000, which Reveles argues was spent recklessly. Meanwhile, she claimed that Leonard has not been willing to pay even a single penny to the beneficiaries of the trust.

Leonard Manipulated Teresa’s Judgment

Teresa also filed a lawsuit claiming Leonard forced her to sign paperwork relinquishing her rights as co-trustee. Taking advantage of her grief following Richard’s death. She argued that Leonard took control as the sole trustee by getting her to sign the documents when she was not in the right frame of mind. Teresa is now asking the court to undo this change and to restore her role as co-trustee.
