‘Property Brothers’ Drew & Jonathan Scott Get New HGTV Series
Drew and Jonathan Scott are famously known as the “Property Brothers.” Now, the two are set to headline a new series for HGTV. Notably, the new show will help the brothers get back to the roots.
The Property Brothers’ New Show Already Has An Eight-Episode Order
Drew and Jonathan are originally from British Columbia. They grew up on a horse farm, with their father Jim having come to North America as a teenager from Scotland thanks to his dreams of being a cowboy.
Eventually the brothers would get their big break when Drew auditioning for a show called Realtor Idol. While it never came to be, producers took interest in him upon learning about his contractor twin. Soon, they would serve as the faces of the Property Brothers franchise.
The two are set to headline a new show honoring their background with Chasing the West. As noted by Deadline, HGTV has already greenlit eight episodes for the show.
In the show, the brothers, who grew up on a ranch. help families make them switch from city to country or help other make use of the land they own. The series will showcase landscapes throughout the United States, in Arizona, California, and Texas.
The Property Brothers & HGTV Promoted The Show On Instagram
HGTV’s head of content Loren Ruch said in a statement: “For more than a decade, Drew and Jonathan have made families’ dreams of a beautiful home a reality, and they’ll continue that journey in a brand-new way in Chasing the West. Now millions of fans will see the Brothers in a different light when they share their strong passion and vast knowledge of ranch living with regular people just like us hoping to make a major lifestyle change.”
HGTV also promoted the upcoming series on Instagram with a photo of the twins standing within a stable. The post, which was also shared by both of the Scott brothers and the Property Brothers account, highlighted that the series is still in development. Even the name, Chasing the West, could change.

“The Brothers are getting back to their roots with the all-new series, Chasing the West (working title), helping families escape city life and embrace ranch living.”
The series will be produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment. In addition, Drew and Jonathan will serve as executive producers.
The series is expected to debut this summer 2025. Other Property Brothers series available for streaming include Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers, Brother vs. Brother, and Celebrity IOU. Regarding Celebrity IOU, the twins are currently starring on the show while it’s in its ninth season.
