Ree Drummond Preventing Family From Returning To Dallas?
The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond wants to do everything in her power to keep her family close. After becoming a first-time grandmother in December, she’s over the moon about this new chapter in her life.
Unfortunately, her daughter Alex Drummond Scott and granddaughter Sofia live in Dallas. It’s not the worst drive from Ree’s home in Oklahoma, but she would love for her family to be much closer.

Ree Drummond Feels Hesitant To Let Her Granddaughter Out Of Her Sight
Fans of The Pioneer Woman often keep up with Ree Drummond and her family on her blog. On the site, she often shows off photos of life on the ranch. But lately, Ree has had a blast updating fans on life as a grandmother.
In one post, she even joked about relocating permanently to Dallas.
“My sweet little pookie head granddaughter Sofia was born ten days ago, so I thought it would be the perfect time to show you some of my favorite snapshots of the first week-and-a-half of her life,” Ree shared on the blog. “I got to stay in Dallas just long enough to fall hopelessly in love with her, and I would be lying if I said I haven’t checked Zillow for houses not only on Alex and Mauricio’s street, but also on their block and actually right across the street from their house.”
Now, it seems like the celebrity chef is trying once again to keep Alex and Sofia closer to her own home.
On social media, Alex posted a few photos on her Instagram story, revealing that her little family had a wonderful time visiting Ree’s home in Oklahoma.
“@thepioneerwoman is never letting us go back to Dallas,” Alex captioned a photo, poking fun at her mother.
“Dallas schmallis!!!” Ree joked back on her own Instagram story.
Alex Drummond Scott Shows Off Sofia’s First Weeks At Home
Baby Sofia wasn’t expected to arrive until after the new year. As such, she was a wonderful Christmas surprise for her family. Ree Drummond and the rest of the family have loved having a new baby in the family to spoil.
“Lil’ scrapbook of January 🩷” Alex captioned a series of Instagram photos featuring fun outings with the family. “Not much sleep but a whole lot of sweet memories!!”
