Scorned ‘Southern Charm’ Alum Thomas Ravenel Running For Governor
Scorned Southern Charm alum, Thomas Ravenel has announced that he will be running for Governor of South Carolina. He has been heavily into politics but his personal life and scandals have kept him from doing all that he has wanted to do. So, how did he make the announcement and what has the reaction been? Thomas Ravenel Running For Governor
Southern Charm fans know that Thomas Ravenel is all about getting ahead and prestige is everything. That may have been one of the reasons why Kathryn Dennis, at just 21, started a romance with him. They went on to have two children together but she had some substance abuse struggles and he gained custody of the kids. That was not easy for Kathryn by any means especially when Thomas faced his own issues. In 2007, he was arrested for cocaine. This was while he serving as state treasurer forcing him to resign from his position.
In 2014, he lost his license for six months due to a DUI, and the following year, he was misdemeanor second-degree assault and battery. Thomas’ nanny has alleged he was sexually inappropriate with her and he was supposed to spend 30 days in prison. Yet, that was suspended in lieu of a $500 fine. All of this went down while Southern Charm was kicking off so he was not the most desirable character. Now, the scorned alum has announced his bid for South Carolina Governor. According to The State, Thomas announced he was running via Twitter/X.
As of now, he is running as a libertarian and will have some pretty stiff competition. Thomas Ravenel has not done himself any favors by constantly going off on Kathryn Dennis. Then, he deletes his rage posts but they are always captured by a blogger who shares them all over the Internet. He is completely unhinged and Southern Charm fans are well aware of this. So, what was the reaction when they learned he was running for Governor?

Completely Unwanted
Southern Charm fans did not hold back when it came to their feelings toward Thomas Ravenel. They did not want him to run and thought he was just wasting his money:

- OMG remember the Raise The Roof campaign ad 😂 😂 Does he think him having full custody of his kids will help? He’s a narcissist and went to prison for drugs
- This is for attention and he’ll probably laundering the money raised for his campaign.
Some were ready for the cameras to go back up so that they could see this all play out in real-time. In any case, it will be interesting to see how many votes T. Rav will get.
