Michael Strahan Reveals Most Embarrassing Interview Moment

Michael Strahan has been working as a television personality for many years. After his very successful NFL career, he has worked on daytime talk shows, televised game shows, and as an NFL analyst. He has become one of the better interviewers and talking heads on TV. However, according to Strahan, he was not always good at his job.
There is one early moment in his career of interviewing people he calls “garbage,” and he hopes the footage will be “burned” and wiped from existence. Here is what you need to know.
Michael Strahan Talks Low Moment In Media Career
Michael Strahan co-hosts Good Morning America and is an analyst on Fox NFL Sunday. He also hosts the $100,000 Pyramid, the classic game show that rebooted with him as the lead. However, as great as he is at his job now, he was not always comfortable with a microphone in his hand.

Strahan has been on a break from Good Morning America. It started with him promoting his daughter’s docuseries about her cancer battle. Now, he is in New Orleans, helping to cover Super Bowl LIX with Fox. During that time, he spoke to NFL star Jameis Winston.
Winston is a former Florida State Seminoles football star who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns in the NFL. While speaking, Winston asked Strahan a question about his career and asked Michael how he took advantage of his “first media opportunity.”
Strahan said he heard Winston was considering joining the New York Giants. The Giants drafted Michael, and he played for them his entire career. He even said he had a chance to attend the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit party when he was young in New York.
Michael Strahan Explains Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Incident
Michael Strahan said he wanted to go, admitting, “Who doesn’t when you’re a 20-something-year-old young man?” However, when he arrived, he was in for a shock and remained embarrassed about the outcome.

“When I got there, they handed me a microphone and asked me to interview the models. I have never seen the footage. I hope that the footage is burned because I was so nervous that I was gar-bage!” Strahan said (via Instagram). “You would’ve never thought I’d have a career after that.”
Michael then downplayed his success. He joked that he is the only person who will spit on people when he says the letter “S” because of the gap in his teeth and still keep his job. “I’ll keep it,” Michael joked about his various media gigs.
