Michael Strahan Speaks On Black National Anthem Boycott
Every year before the big game, the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing” is played. This song is known as the black national anthem and is very important to people. However, some people are trying to boycott the song being played. Michael Strahan gave his opinion on the matter.
Anything that gets attention, I guess people jump on it man. I haven’t heard [criticism of the song], I love it. Everybody got opinions, people get mad over anything man. I could say your shirt’s blue and somebody’s gonna slap me and tell me it’s black. People argue over the most insane, unimportant things, and there are a lot more important things to worry about in life. It’s funny how a song has been great for so long, and then a song that’s so uplifting for people is all of a sudden something bad. I don’t get it. It doesn’t fit your agenda, that’s why it’s bad.
Well, he has made his opinion clear. He does not want the song to be removed.
It seems as though Michael thinks it is ridiculous that people are trying to boycott the song. He also thinks that the only reason people are no longer liking the song is that it doesn’t fit on their “agenda”. However, the black national anthem is going to be played tomorrow. Michael wanted everyone to know his opinion on the matter, and that was accomplished. What do you think about the boycott of the song? Do you agree with Michael? Sound off in the comments below.

I agree with Michael Strahan, leave the song alone. There are people that envy unity and the song is not just for African American People the song is for all of God’s children, there is so much hatred among us.
It’s an amazing song, but it has been presented as the antithesis of the National Anthem. For that reason it should not be played. We do not need to divide Americans, we need to unite. It has only been played at the Superbowl since 2021 so that is why the sudden uproar.
The current national anthem is a racist terrible song glorifying war and written by a man who enslaved other human beings. it’s time to dump it.
