Shocking ‘Price Is Right’ Twist Leaves Contestants With $150,000

The Price Is Right at Night has introduced exciting new twists to some of its classic games, especially during primetime episodes. One of the most notable changes is to the popular Let ‘Em Roll game, where contestants used to roll dice to land on car symbols in order to win a car. In the new primetime version, however, the prize is not a car, but a chance to win up to $150,000 in cash.
Drew Carey Introduces New Twist
Host Drew Carey introduced the twist on a recent primetime episode, where a contestant wearing an “overthinker” T-shirt stepped up to play. Announcer George Gray told the contestant to “just relax and win lots of money,” explaining that they could win as much as $150,000 in cash, which caught everyone’s attention. Model Rachel Reynolds stood beside a large screen showing the potential prize amount, adding to the excitement.
In the new version of Let ‘Em Roll, the contestant rolls five dice, each with different symbols. The goal is to land on five dollar signs in order to win the full $150,000. However, the dice also feature smaller cash amounts such as $2,500, $5,000, and $10,000. Even if the contestant doesn’t land all five dollar signs, they will win whatever money is shown on the dice. Drew explained that this is a big change from the typical game, which usually involves car symbols for a chance to win a vehicle.
Let ‘Em Roll Original Debute
The regular daytime version of Let ‘Em Roll still offers cars as prizes, such as a new Toyota Corolla valued at over $22,000. Contestants roll five dice in a chute, hoping for car symbols. If they roll five car symbols, they win a car. However, the dice also feature small amounts of cash like $500, $1,000 and $1,500. Contestants get one free dice roll and can earn up to two additional rolls by correctly answering questions about grocery prices. These extra rolls give contestants a better chance of landing on the car symbols, and in some cases, they walk away with both cash and a car.
Let ‘Em Roll originally debuted on The Price Is Right back in 1999 during Bob Barker’s time as a host. The game has always been a fan favorite, but the new twist for the primetime version has raised the stakes. Instead of a car, contestants are now competing for large cash prizes, making the game even more exciting for both the players and the viewers.
These changes to the game show are a fresh take on The Price Is Right, offering bigger and better prizes. Fans are eager to see how the Let ‘Em Roll game continues to evolve, and it will be interesting to see if similar twists appear in other games during primetime.
