‘S.W.A.T.’ Shemar Moore Shares His Tears On Very Sad Day

Actor Shemar Moore recently shared a tear-filled video on Instagram. As the actor explained, this was the anniversary of a sad event for him. However, he noted something he’s seen over the years that has given him hope.
Shemar Moore Revealed It Was The Fifth Anniversary Of A Tragic Loss
Moore has made a name for himself through a variety of acting roles. One of his more recent claims to fame in appearing on the S.W.A.T. series, where he plays the leading role, Sergeant II Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson.
Over the years, audiences have come to know Moore from a variety of characters. He had notably had prominent roles on The Young and the Restless and Criminal Minds.

Taking to Instagram, the actor recently shared an emotional video with fans on the platform. As he opened up, “I live in love. Tonight, five years ago, my mother went to sleep February 7th, end of February 8th, and, some point in that night, she checked out. She passed.”
As noted by People, Shemar’s mother, Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore, passed away in 2020. Her cause of death was reported as multiple sclerosis and a heart condition.
In the video, Moore talked about a star he has seen over the years, which he connects to his mother. As he noted, “It shows up, not every night, but it shows up and it makes me believe of what’s out there and that this s*** is possible.”
Moore shared that, whenever he sees the star, he says, “Hi Mama, hi Mama, I hope you see me. I hope I’m making you proud because it’s all I ever live for.”
Moore Also Recently Honored His Mother In Another Recent Post On Instagram
“I’m not sad, yeah, I got my sunglasses on at night cuz I have cried sad tears and happy tears but you don’t need to see all of me right now. You just need to hear me. On this night, five years ago she didn’t wake up. And what I’ve done for five years is continue to try to make her proud.”
“I look around what I got and what I’m doing and how I move and, every day, I say, ‘Mama, are you proud? Am I perfect?’ No. Pretty close. That’s me talking s***.”

“Whoever you are, whatever you’re doing, I’m not telling you go to church, I’m not telling you what to do but when you wake up in the morning say your version of a prayer of thank you that you got that morning to the night.”
“Five years, five years, and every day forward I will continue to try to make you proud. I’m not sad I’m celebrating the greatest woman that I have ever f****** known.”
As previously reported, Moore also recently honored his late mother with a plaque. Decorated with a quote of hers, it read, “This house is my son’s home, Mom.”
