‘S.W.A.T.’ Shemar Moore Brings Mom’s Words To Life In Special Way
Actor Shemar Moore is known for fans for a variety of roles overs the years, from soaps to action dramas. Recently, the star shared a tribute to his late mother with fans on social media. Many fans also notably shared their support for Moore on the post.
Shemar Moore Had Lost His Mother In Early February 2020
Moore first came to prominence playing Malcolm Winters on the soap, The Young and the Restless. He would then go on to play Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds.
Starting in 2017, Moore would take on the lead role of Sergeant II Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson on S.W.A.T. The series is based on the 1957 television series and 2003 film of the same name.
On Instagram, Moore recently shared a tribute to his late mother. In the image, a plaque could be seen on the ground reading, “‘This house is my son’s home,’ Mom, 1-26-20.”
Moore wrote in the caption, “My mother stood right HERE 5 years ago today!!! And said these words to me!!!”
As the actor explained, the dedication was still a work in progress. He noted, “I’m replacing the grass and putting LED lights. That’s why y’all see dirt.”

As noted by People, Shemar previously revealed his mother Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore passed away in early February 2020. At the time, he shared, “My mother, best friend, and partner in crime passed away Feb 8th at 76 years old…I miss her more than I ever thought possible and I don’t know how to do this life without her…but I get my STRENGTH from her and I will be OK because of HER.”

“I stay stunned. I am heartbroken… I don’t know life without this woman, I don’t know what to do but I will figure it out because that’s what she would want.”
