‘ABP’ Bear Brown Shares Deep Sadness Over Devastating Loss
Bear Brown of Alaskan Bush People fame recently shared an emotional post on social media. The post represented the anniversary of a great loss. Notably, fans of the series also shared their support online.
Bear Brown Recently Shared A Loving Tribute With Alaskan Bush People Fans
The original docudrama series, which lasted from 2014 to 2022, depicted the life of the Brown family as they lived off the grid in Alaska. As seen in the original show, the family was led by parents Billy and Ami Brown.
Towards the end of the original show’s run, the Brown family suffered multiple tragedies. In 2020, the family’s original home was destroyed by wildfires.
In 2021, the family patriarch, Billy Brown, passed away after enduring a seizure. He was 68 at the time of his death. Notably, the series later honored him with the special, “The Legacy of Billy Brown.”
On Instagram, Bear Brown, Billy and Ami’s middle son, recently shared a tribute to his late father. Notably, this came out on the anniversary of Billy’s passing, February 7, 2021.
As Bear wrote in the caption, “I miss him more than words could ever describe!” The post was a carousel post that included a variety of photos of Billy.
Bear Previously Shared A Statement Over His Father’s Passing
The first photo included was a family photo that depicted Billy sitting with his wife Ami. Surrounded by their children, Bear could notably be seen standing in the background.
Another photo showed the message, “I love you, Dad,” written in the snow. Many of the other photos mostly depicted Billy himself, often with animals or even holding one of his grandchildren.

As noted by Deadline, at the time of his father’s passing, Bear also released the following statement to Instagram: “We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved patriarch Billy Brown passed away last night after suffering from a seizure. He was our best friend — a wonderful and loving dad, granddad and husband and he will be dearly missed.”
“He lived his life on his terms, off the grid and off the land and taught us to live like that as well. We plan to honor his legacy going forward, and to continue with his dream. We ask for privacy and prayers during this painful time! God bless everyone!”
