Sam Asghari Breaks Silence About Britney Spears
Model and TV personality Sam Asghari recently opened up about his ex-wife, pop star and music icon Britney Spears. Asghari notably talked about her conservatorship, which she was under during their marriage, during a recent podcast appearance. Notably, this comes out after he was unable to talk about Spears during a recent television appearance.

Asghari has worked as a model and an actor. He’s appeared in issues of Men’s Health and GQ and films like Black Monday and The Family Business.
In recent years, however, Asghari has also made a name for himself with reality television. Such shows he’s been featured in include Celebrity Big Brother, The Masked Singer, and The Traitors.
As previously reported, Asghari is currently under a gag order that lets him speak openly about his ex-wife, pop star Britney Spears. Notably, during an episode of The Traitors, Asghari could be seen dodging questions asked by Robyn Dixon and Chanel Ayan of Real Housewives fame.
As noted by People, Asghari and Spears first met in 2016. The two married in 2022 and divorced in 2024. Notably, this means Asghari was married to Spears while she was under her infamous conservatorship, which lasted from 2008 to 2021.
However, Asghari has recently opened up about his ex during an appearance on a podcast series. The model and actor was a guest on Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson’s podcast Sibling Revelry this past Monday, January 27.
Asghari admitted he was surprised to learn about the conservatorship, fining the idea unbelievable. He admitted, “And that’s when I was like, wait a minute. Like, I thought I’m in America. What do you mean?” Notably, Asghari, who was born in Iran, came to the United States when he was around 12 or 13.
Asghari Also Shared How He Ultimately Felt About The Short-Lived Marriage
Initially, Asghari suspected that things like fans or money would complicated the relationship. However, the conservatorship would turn out to be “the weirdest thing to deal with.”
“One of the hardest things, I think, to deal with when you go into entertainment is your parents and the people around you. And everything that happens and everybody that comes into your life that’s taken advantage. That damages you because those are the people that are closest to you.”
“Usually, the people that are around you, the people that you allow into your circle, you kind of are vulnerable to them. They take an advantage because they think, you know, you you owe something to them or something, which is so ridiculous. That was the most difficult and weird spiral thing that I’ve witnessed in my life ever.”
Asghari felt, at this time, it was important to share “support,” “information,” and “resources that might be helpful.” He also wanted to “really try to understand why” Spears was under the conservatorship in the first place.
Ultimately, Asghari did not regret the relationship. As he noted, “I’m always gonna be grateful and happy that it ever even happened.”
