Is RHONY headed for a second reboot as it appears that Bravo is on the search for a new cast? The ratings have been lackluster, and even OGs are questioning how long the new girls can last. So, will the show try to freshen itself up one more time? Keep reading for more details.

RHONY Headed For A Second Reboot

For thirteen seasons, RHONY was a top-rated Bravo reality series and one of the hottest Housewives franchises. Fans loved seeing the antics between the ladies, Countess LuAnn De Lesseps teaching etiquette, Sonja Morgan stirring the drink, and Ramona Singer completely tone-deaf. Bethenny Frankel would blow in after a three-season hiatus to stir the party up, give her unfiltered opinion, and then leave when it suited her. As bad as it could be, it was always good. Sadly, Season 13 came with a lot of controversy with the addition of Eboni K. Williams.

She clashed with Ramona and there were allegations of racism on the set. It culminated with no reunion and the show being put on pause. Ultimately, Bravo decided to reboot the entire series and get a whole new cast of hip New York ladies. Initially, they were a hit as they seemed fun and fresh but OG fans felt they could not compete with Sonja, Dorinda, LuAnn, and even Ramona. Fans have expressed their disdain with the new ladies:

  • They’re sooo boring. I posted last week about how I was on my phone the whole time. They’re not funny, and that’s actually my problem.
  • They are lacking cast charisma
  • I don’t like it because we don’t see action. Just manufactured conflict.

They begged to have the OG women back and now, Season 15, the second with the new women has come to an end. The reunion begins on Tuesday, January 28th but, according to Us Weekly, a casting call has been put out for new RHONY women.

Shed Media wrote this in the caption:

“It’s that time…🍎come and get your apple.”

OG Time

The moment that RHONY fans saw the casting call, they knew who they wanted to see in Season 16. Immediately, they rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts:

  • Luann De Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley.
  • It’s time… Lindsay Hubbard should be holding an apple

Additionally, someone suggested Julia Fox as she had mentioned on WWHL that she would be interested in joining. Currently, it appears that Brynn Whitfield may have exited after two seasons. She had been accused of sleeping her way onto the show. However, she allegedly revealed that she was sexually assaulted to Ubah Hassan. Therefore, this hurt even more and now, she has split away from the other ladies.

Finally, if someone were to join the cast, they should be connected to the ladies in some way but who knows how this will play out. The demand for the OGs is so strong, it may not matter in the long run.

Do you think the show should end once and for all or should Bravo find a way to bring back some of the fan favorites? Let us know and watch RHONY Tuesdays on Bravo.
