Tarek & Heather El Moussa Dish On Filming With Christina Haack
As The Flipping El Moussas Season 2 continues, fans are excited for another show starring Tarek and Heather El Moussa. The Flip Off premieres this week and avid HGTV fans couldn’t be happier. In the new series, Tarek will reunite with his ex-wife and Flip or Flop costar, Christina Haack.
Tarek and Christina seem to have an amicable relationship now, but fans are still interested to see how the series will go. How exactly do Tarek and Heather feel about making a new show with his first wife?
Tarek & Heather El Moussa Love Working With Christina Haack
Ahead of The Flip Off premiere, Tarek and Heather El Moussa spoke to Us Weekly about creating a new show with Christina Haack. It wasn’t what they initially had in mind, but they’re thankful all the pieces fell into place this way.
“For the last couple years, Heather and I have been talking about creating a house-flipping competition show. So we already knew we wanted to do this, we just had no idea it was against my ex-wife,” Tarek shared. “[Christina] just started talking smack on the soccer field about how she’s a better flipper and how she can beat me in a flip off, and then next thing I knew, we’re in this.”
Heather chimed in and added that she felt a little nervous about working with Christina at first. But after the first day of filming, she received a heartwarming text from the designer describing how much she enjoyed the experience. Now, they’re all having a great time creating the show.
The Show Has Became A Family Affair
Fans frequently commend the trio for how well they co-parent. So many divorced couples can’t get along and it hurts the children. Christina Haack and the El Moussas always want to put their children first and it shows.
“We have one goal — to raise kids and good kids,” Heather shared, adding that they know the kids look up to them and all the adults want to provide a good example.
In the interview, Heather and Tarek described how their children are getting involved in the show too.
“They’re having a lot of fun with it and it’s the cutest thing,” the father of three shared, detailing that it’s been a dose of healthy competition for the entire family. The oldest children Taylor and Brayden go back and forth between which team they want to win.
