Joel McHale Replaces Comedian Patton Oswal

TV Line shared the news that Joel McHale will be taking over for comedian Patton Oswal on The 1% Club. Season 1 of this show was on Fox and Prime Video and was hosted by Oswal. Now in Season 2, it will air on only Fox so you won’t be able to watch it streaming. McHale will take over as the host this time around, too.

Joel Speaks Out About Hosting

Joel McHale shared his thoughts on hosting and he is really excited about this one. Here is what he had to say:

“I am 1,000,000% excited to be partnering with Fox to host The 1% Club. I absolutely love the show and love the game play to the 10𝑥 and guarantee my hair, make up, and wardrobe will look great at least 68% of the time.”

Fox President Michael Thorn also spoke out saying, “Joel’s outstanding comedic timing and hosting charm already make him a standout talent here at Fox, and now — building on The 1% Club’s strong first year on the network — we’re bringing his unrivaled energy, irreverence and charisma to Season 2. We look forward to expanding on our successful relationship with Joel and continuing our partnership with the incredible production teams at BBC Studios and Magnum.”

The show The 1% Club has you test your brain with some really hard questions for a chance to win money. Each question gets harder as the game goes on. Only the smartest people will get them right and it is fun to play along at home with as you watch the show. The show starts with 100 contestants, but by the end they are usually down to less than five that get to take on the final question and try to win the prize money. There is an option to take a $1000 prize and leave early though, which some people do take.

What do you think of Joel McHale as the new host of The 1% Club? Do you think he will be a good addition to the show? Sound off in the comments below on your thoughts.
