Actor Milo Ventimiglia is one of many actors who has been impacted by the recent Los Angeles wildfires. The star recently spoke out after losing his home due to the blaze. Notably, this occurred before the star’s wife is about to give birth to their new child.

Milo Ventimiglia Shared That He Was ‘Heartbroken’ Over The Devastation

Ventimiglia has had many prominent acting roles over the years. Some notable television series he’s appeared in include Gilmore Girls, Heroes, and This Is Us. He also prominently played Rocky Balboa’s son in Rocky Balboa, a role he reprised in Creed II.

Ventimiglia would be one of the many stars to have been impacted by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. The star recently revealed that his house had been destroyed by the blaze.

Speaking with CBS News, as noted by The Express U.S., Ventimiglia shared he was “heartbroken” over the destruction caused by the fire. During his appearance on the show, he could be seen walking through the charred remains on his former house. He continued, “You start thinking about all the memories and the different parts of the house and whatnot and then you see your neighbors’ houses and everything around and your heart just breaks.”

The star talked about going through the ruble of what remained of his former house. He noted, “I think there’s a kind of shock moment where you’re going, ‘Oh, this is real, this is happening.’ And at a certain point, we just turned it off. What good is it to continue watching? We kind of accepted the loss.”

The Similarities With What Happened & One Of His Famous Roles Was Not Lost On The Actor

The actor and his wife, Jarah Mariano, had evacuated their home during the fires. Notably, Mariano was pregnant with their child at the time. As CBS News noted, Jarah could give birth “any day now.” One of the possessions that was left behind notably included their baby’s crib.

Notably, Jack Pearson, Ventimiglia’s character on This Is Us and one of his most well-known roles, notably dies in a freak house fire before the start of the series. The actor touched on the irony of the situation, saying, “It’s not lost on me life imitating art.” As the show noted, Ventimiglia has become a fire safety advocate since his role on the show.

Despite it all, Ventimiglia said he remains optimistic about the future. Touching on the support of his friends and family, he noted, “We got good friends, and we got good people we’re working with, and we’ll make do.”

As noted by The Express U.S., at least 10 people are known to have lost their lives to the Los Angeles wildfires. In addition, thousands of buildings are believed to have been damaged or destroyed.
