Joey Graziadei Says ‘DWTS’ Was Hard On His Relationship
Bachelor Joey Graziadei opened up more about his Dancing With the Stars experience and how it affected his relationship with Kelsey Anderson. He appeared on a podcast recently and admits that at times it was hard on his new engagement. What did he have to say? Keep reading to find out more.
Bachelor Joey Graziadei Says DWTS Did Affect Relationship
Joey Graziadei appeared on The Squeeze podcast where he opened up more about his experience on DWTS and also how it affected his new engagement with Kelsey Anderson.
He shared that there were a few storms they had to get through but in the end, they are even stronger than before. Joey also said that Kelsey most likely shared the same thoughts with Taylor Lautner during her time on The Squeeze.
The former Bachelor went on to say, “It was never a walk in the park and it’s literally just because of timing. I would have loved — especially in this important beginning time in our relationship — I would have loved to have been able to put so much more time into it than I physically could have.”
He explained further to the hosts that he compared his time on Dancing With the Stars to his time as a tennis instructor. Joey noted that when one spends 40 hours a week on a tennis court and they are constantly “on.” When he would get home the last thing he wanted to do was be “on” again. He needed a little time to unwind.
When he did get home from a full day of rehearsals, he would take about ten minutes to decompress and then want to hear all about Kelsey’s day.
He went on to say,
“But if I came in the door and I wasn’t fully excited, I need to explain why. Like, I was still doing a two-step in my head. Like, I didn’t even know where I was at the time. But that was the hardest part initially. You know, everyone’s outside opinion at the beginning, there’s a lot of stuff you can’t control.”
The Experience Made Them A Stronger Couple
In the end, Dancing With the Stars made Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson a stronger couple. He gushed over how supportive and understanding she was through the whole thing.
Plus, when rumors began to fly that they might be having issues she fired back and let fans know they were fine.
Right now, Joey and Kelsey are getting settled into their new place in California. They plan to get married in either 2026 or 2027.
