The series premiere of The Flip Off is only a few weeks away. Star Christina Haack is opening up about the major shake-ups that happened behind the scenes over the summer.

Christina previously shared that Josh struggled with insecurities during filming and could be quite nasty to Tarek and Heather El Moussa. Now, she’s elaborating on his poor behavior after HGTV released an alarming clip of Josh berating her.

Christina Haack Details Josh Hall’s Jealousy & Rude Behavior

Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack were married from 2009-2018. During that time, they welcomed two children together, filmed Flip or Flop, and built a very successful real estate empire. Their marriage didn’t pan out, but the pair remained on great terms as they co-parented and continued business operations.

Unfortunately, that caused problems with Josh Hall.

“Josh was very hard to film with,” Christina Haack admitted in a new interview with Us Weekly. “He didn’t get it. He’d always get upset with me, like, ‘Oh, my gosh, you did this,’ or ‘You did that.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m making a TV show.’”

The designer revealed she wasn’t sorry Josh left after the first episode. Otherwise, it would have been nothing but incessant drama. Christina elaborated, adding that Josh hated it when she and Tarek El Moussa were friendly to one another.

“If I would laugh at Tarek, I would get the silent treatment for a week.” the HGTV star continued, adding that Josh struggled with insecurity.

“Somebody with more confidence would be able to say, ‘This is my wife, but yes, she does this for TV. She was filming with Tarek when I met her,’” the mother of three added. “There was a rationale there that didn’t make sense. You know what you signed up for. I’m your wife, and I’m choosing you, but you’re choosing to make my life harder over insecurities.”

The Show Must Go On

Although Josh Hall’s departure disrupted production a bit, Christina Haack insists the show will go on without him.

“This isn’t Josh’s show,” she firmly told Us Weekly. “No one’s going to miss that he’s not in it. Josh is not a TV host, he’s not a house flipper, he’s not a designer. He was just my husband in it. With Tarek, we built everything together, and I still have respect for him. I have no respect for Josh.”

Near the end of the interview, Tarek and Heather added their own sentiments. They wanted to get along with Josh since he was Christina’s husband, but also agree the show will be better off without him.

“Not to be mean, but he definitely didn’t have the best personality. So it’s like a breath of fresh air. And [Christina is] in a really good place,” Heather chimed in.

Catch the series premiere of The Flip Off at 8 PM Eastern time on January 29 on HGTV. Until then, follow TV Shows Ace online for more HGTV news and updates.
