Some fans of the series recently took to Reddit to question what happened to a discovery from the second season.
Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch Fans Have Noticed Discoveries Can Go Unexplained
On Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch, ranch owner Duane Ollinger believes a lost treasure is waiting to be found on the property. However, locals suspect there might actually be a curse looming the background.
Regardless, the crew often finds themselves making all sorts of discoveries in the area. However, some fans feel that such findings are often forgotten about on the show.
Taking to the show’s Reddit page, one user asked about gallium filled rocks that were discovered on the show during the second season. As one user noted, “Back in Season 2, I feel like they had a significant discovery and mystery with the rocks,” noting that they “were filled with gallium.”
The post continued, “This was pretty much not followed up on with anyone. They’ll travel to Mexico to talk about a history, but they won’t follow up on this weird finding? Did I miss something?”
Many of the fans shared similar sentiments in the comments.

Some fans also listed discoveries that also appeared to have been similarly forgotten. For example, one fan brought up a “prehistoric snake,” which another fan commented was known for strangling snakes.
Fan Suggestions Ranged From Samples Being Stolen To Legal Issues
One fan also tried to give a possible explanation. As they pointed out, “Your assumption is Duane owns the property mineral rights. It’s been stated here by others he doesn’t. No idea if that’s true.”
That said, the fan suggested these things have no value if they can’t be mined. They then joked, “Of course, the only treasure found is the money they are collecting from the TV show.”

Another user commented on this, noting, “Well, the minerals they found were rocks all filled with gallium for some reason kept in an old wood crate down in a flooded cave. I just wish someone in the world could explain what that was.” In turn, this received replies suggesting the rocks were “drilled.”
Another fan commented, “I think their sole focus is getting into the keyhole cavern system which they think that cave is part of. Get to the keyhole caverns then they can get to the cave with the gallium filled rocks.” One fan also mused that samples might have been collected, but suggested they were stolen in a break-in seen on the series.
