‘Southern Charm’ Fans Think Craig Conover Should Quit
Southern Charm fans are at the point where they think it would be best if Craig Conover just quit the show. Yes, he is an OG but things have changed so much since he started that it might be time to say goodbye. So, why do they think he should pack up and leave? Keep reading for further details.
Fans Think Craig Conover Should Quit
Craig Conover has come a long way since Southern Charm first began. He was a young guy in law school, trying to figure out what he wanted to do with his life. Though it appeared that law was his passion, he had other offers that were more attractive. Craig made the vital mistake of lying about passing the bar when he hadn’t and that set him up for being somewhat of a liar. Eventually, he did pass the bar and was going to pursue law until he began his pillow business.
This was his passion and he created Sewing Down South. Luckily, he met fellow Bravoleb, Paige DeSorbo who encouraged him and was his partner in crime. Craig has done very well and this has taken precedence over anything else. Furthermore, he has been renovating to make his home more of a family space. Craig’s friends have watched him get sober and focus on his career, which they do not care for. He was not invited to Patricia Altschul’s birthday on the recent episode of Southern Charm so he was the subject of gossip.
Whitney Sudler-Smith noted how much more fun and interesting Craig Conover was when he would drink. Austen Kroll says he and Craig only interact due to their podcast and then they blame Paige for his change. Madison LeCroy believes he is just growing and evolving but Shep Rose and Austen think he needs to make more of an effort. After this, fans on Reddit believe Craig needs to exit the series:
- If I were Craig, I’d quit …I can’t imagine what Craig must be feeling after watching the edit of that episode.
Hurt Feelings
Craig Conover would be clearly hurt hearing how his friends felt about him, just hearing the gossip. It was suggested that he dump them and the show. However, other fans felt Craig should not be hasty with the quitting:
- Id get my feelings hurt for 200k a year
- It also helps his business being on the show.
- Hes been on this show for years and they’ve been ragging on him for years. He doesn’t seem to get his feelings hurt very easily. I think he’s fine.
- I think he’s there for a paycheck and understands there is more to life than the show. He knows if he quits a huge (basically free) income stream is gone and he’s not stupid to do that
Some believed that Austen and Shep were jealous of how much Craig had matured. More so, he has boundaries and knows what he will and will not do. Things may be different now given that he and Paige DeSorbo have split. This may bring him closer to his friends and may reconnect them all in the best possible way.
