Game Show Network Makes Big ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Change
Wheel of Fortune has been showing on Game Show Network for a long time, but things are changing in 2025. While Wheel of Fortune is in syndication and viewers can watch it on their local channels nightly, there have always been chances to see older episodes on other networks. However, while Jeopardy! is making its way to GSN, its rival game show will have some changes in store as well.
Here is what is changing for the game show on GSN in 2025.
Wheel Of Fortune Making Changes On Game Show Network
Wheel of Fortune fans who miss Pat Sajak will be very happy about the new changes coming to Game Show Network. GSN has aired select episodes from Seasons 34 to 37 for the last year. These were also available to stream on Netflix and Pluto TV. However, Pluto TV has lost Jeopardy! and Wheel, and GSN is getting more.
Starting in 2025 and effective immediately, GSN airs WOF four times a day on weekdays, twice in the afternoon and twice at night. As of January 1, the afternoon shows will feature episodes from Season 30 (2012-2013). This is the first time this season has aired on GSN since 2019. This time, they are showing more episodes from that season.
There are also more episodes from Season 30 than even Pluto TV aired (Netflix has never had a season older than Season 34). This is the first time these episodes have aired since they hit syndication. The night episodes will be Season 34.
Things will change again on January 13. The afternoon airings will move to 1:00 p.m. EST, which is an hour earlier than normal. The nights will move to 12:30 a.m. EST, which is now later than usual. The episodes on weekends will start at 9 a.m. EST. This is to make room for Jeopardy! to join the lineup.
Wheel Of Fortune Still Going Strong With Ryan Seacrest
While fans are complaining a lot about Wheel of Fortune with Ryan Seacrest as the host, the show is still doing well in the ratings. Ryan also seems to be fitting in, and he and Vanna White have developed a nice chemistry.
Ryan also said he has a big goal for 2025 on the show. He admitted that he wants to give away $1 million to players this year, which should make anyone who wants to appear on Wheel of Fortune happy to hear.
However, things have to start improving because many viewers feel that the gameplay is down this season, and many players are making bad decisions, keeping them from winning big money.
