Ryan Seacrest Dishes Hopes For The Future Ahead Of New Year's

Media personality Ryan Seacrest is set to resume his yearly hosting duties for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest as the year draws to a close. Recently, Seacrest appeared on Good Morning America to promote the upcoming holiday event. While there, he shared the hopes he has for the future.

Ryan Seacrest Shared What Happens Behind-The-Scenes On New Year’s Eve

Seacrest is known for his hosting duties on a variety of shows over the years, including American Idol and Wheel of Fortune. Since 2005, the star has also had hosting duties in some form on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. In 2012, he first served as the event’s sole host.

Around one million people are estimated to appear at Times Square for the holiday show each year. These people, and viewers at home, can expect to enjoy live and recorded musical performances, with the big event being the yearly ball drop.

As shared by People, the star recently appeared on Good Morning America to promote his upcoming New Year’s hosting duties. He noted that “there’s always a little bit of chaos” going on behind-the-scenes.

After all, a lot of unexpected things can happen during the show, from weather problems to problems with the planned performances. However, Seacrest noted, “You never know, but that’s the beauty of the show.”

Journalist Rebecca Jarvis also touched on there being a lot of love during the show. As she noted, “You have people proposing in Times Square literally, like, ‘Let’s get married.'”

Seacrest Teased One Thing In Particular For The Future

As Seacrest noted, “Yes, that’s something that’s happened almost every single year.” He continued, “Some of it makes TV, some of it doesn’t, but people love that moment to say, ‘Will you be with me for the rest of our lives?’”

As for his own love life, Seacrest teased, “There’s still time for me.” ABC correspondent Will Reeve pat him on the back, saying, “You’ve got this, Ryan. We won’t rush you, though.”

The holiday season is an especially special time for Seacrest. Notably, the star shares his birthday with Christmas Eve, December 24, with Seacrest having recently celebrated his 50th birthday. At the time, the star shared a photo of his birthday celebration with his family on Instagram.

Notably, Reeve himself recently proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Dubin, in New York City back in November. With the year coming to an end, he joked, “I should have done the proposal on New Year’s Eve with Ryan.” However, he mused, “Amanda [Dubin] would have said no.”
