Candace Cameron Bure Warns Of ‘Scam’ Based On Her Podcast
Candace Cameron Bure let her fans know she was about to take her mini social media break over the holidays. However, before she signed off for the end of the year, she had a warning for her fans. Apparently, someone is scamming her fans by claiming to have something to do with her podcast.
Here is what Candace told her fans to look out for so they don’t get scammed.
Candace Cameron Bure Warns Fans Of Scammers
Candace Cameron Bure, 48, uploaded a new video to Instagram. She wished her fans a Merry Christmas before then warning them about some scammers who might be trying to rip them off. It seems that the new scams target Bure’s fans and are using the lire of her podcast to get their information.
The actress started out by just sending out well-wishes, telling people to watch movies, eat yummy food, read Christmas stories, “Bless one another,” and give out some good gifts. She then moved on to the alleged scammers.
‘There is a scam going out there in my name. It’s inviting people onto my podcast or a podcast live and it’s really unfortunate, they’re stealing people’s identity,” she said (via Instagram). “So if you have a friend or you’re listening to this right now, and it looks like there’s an official email from my manager or my team or something inviting you, please know that it’s a scam. Don’t open it. Don’t contact them.”
She then said that the red flag is that her podcast will never pay guests, and no reputable podcast ever would. “Do not engage,” she said. “If you unknowingly do, never give them access to your FB or Instagram account! They say they need all access to your account [sic] in order to broadcast the interview. It’s a scam.”
This Is Not Limited To Cameron Candace Bure
Candace Cameron Bure is not the only celebrity that the scammers are using to target gullible fans. They also claimed to be associated with everyone from Reba McEntire to former NCIS star Pauley Perrette. Some scammers used AI to impersonate Tom Hanks, and he had to warn his fans more than once.

“I and my team will NEVER correspond with you from a direct message or cell phone number asking you for money in order to meet me,” Reba said when explaining what the scammers were doing in her name.
“I don’t get why anybody wants to impersonate someone else, but what I do get is that this is dangerous,” Perrette said, before reminding fans that she is not on Facebook.
