‘Sister Wives’ Meri Brown Finally Puts Robyn On Blast
Sister Wives fans are getting to see the story unfold from Meri and Kody Brown’s divorce. Undeniably, Meri and Kody’s perspectives on what happened are very different. Without a doubt, the process has been difficult for everyone, but Meri is having an awakening. Furthermore, Meri finally puts her former sister wife, Robyn, on blast following her divorce.
Robyn And Meri Brown Were Close
During Brown’s plural marriage, it wasn’t a secret that Meri Brown didn’t see eye to eye with Janelle and Christine Brown. However, she maintained a close relationship with Robyn albeit her having more than her fair share of Kody’s time and money. In many ways, fans suspect it was to Meri’s dismay that she remained so close. Although Meri has continually stuck up for Kody and Robyn, now she is finally putting them on blast.
Meri Brown Finally Puts Robyn On Blast
In the latest Sister Wives episode, Meri Brown got candid about Robyn in a very unusual way. Meri states, “Robyn and I don’t really talk a lot.” When Meri was packing for Parowan, UT, Robyn came to say goodbye and was completely distraught. However, Meri was composed and almost confused by the abundance of unprocessed emotions that Robyn had. Admittedly, Meri says, “I know that it was really hard for her when I left, and I suspect that she’s probably just trying to figure out her life completely different than she thought that it was going to be.”
‘Poor Girl’
But as Meri Brown spoke with her friends, Jenn Sullivan and Brandi, she let out that it was difficult for her to see Kody “baby” Robyn. Seemingly, she had to laugh to keep from being angry, but she pointed out that Kody talked about how hard the breakup conversation was on Robyn rather than acknowledge the situation was terrible for everyone involved. She remembers Kody saying, “That was so hard on Robyn.” In a clip, TLC shows Kody said it was good for them to have a conversation without Robyn. He adds, “Poor girl, that whole talk just wrecked her.” Admittedly, she didn’t want Robyn’s feelings discounted but needed hers validated. She says she isn’t sure why she goes out of her way to be kind to Kody when he “flippantly talks sh*t” on her.
Seemingly, still slightly confused by Robyn’s reaction to her leaving, Meri continues. She says, “I’m not sure that their day-to-day life has changed a whole lot because it’s been the same thing it has been for the past quite a few years.” But Meri accepts everyone’s path is different. She adds, “But just knowing that she’s full-on monogamous, I’m sure that she has been trying to navigate that herself. But she and I don’t have a lot of interaction.” Notably, she had expressed to her friends, Andreah and Hilaree, that it was very odd to think about being good friends with her ex-husband’s wife. Likewise, Robyn was territorial during their meeting about Coyote Pass.
Besties Didn’t Stand The Test Of Time
While Sister Wives stars, Robyn and Meri Brown were besties, time appears to have wedged a divide. As Meri is reflecting on her life with Kody, Robyn, Janelle, and Christine Brown, she realizes they were just a chapter in her story. Meri says, “I feel like right now, I’m just needing to focus on me and my future and who’s going to be a cheerleader for what I’m trying to do in my life.”
With a deep look at her past, Meri Brown has been taking off her rose-colored glasses and starting to see people for the effort they make. She says, “With Robyn, I feel like I’ve put in a lot, and especially over COVID, it’s like I was the one who was always calling. It wasn’t being reciprocated.”
Meri Brown Wants People To Reciprocate
Furthermore, Meri Brown adds, “I really believe that a relationship has to be reciprocal and it wasn’t reciprocal.” Likewise, Meri expressed some hidden pain she carries from the relationship with Robyn. She says, “The fact that Robyn didn’t come to my mom’s funeral and support me in that way at that time was very hurtful to me.” In many ways, she wants to give Kody and Robyn the benefit of the doubt. She recalls, “They were following the COVID rules and you know, I felt really bad about that and I kind of understood, but Kody ended up going too. The whole thing was really confusing to me that she wouldn’t go, ’cause Janelle went.”
Robyn Brown Gives Her Explanation
However, Sister Wives star, Robyn says in a confessional it wasn’t personal toward Meri Brown. She was missing many things at that time. Robyn explains, “Kody went because we couldn’t both quarantine away from the kids for that long.” Furthermore, Robyn adds, “I didn’t have that option during this time. I was missing all kinds of things.” For instance, she says, “Avalon’s birth, my dad was super sick and in the hospital. I wish I could have [been there for Meri], I love Bonnie and I wanted to be supportive of Meri and I would have been there in a heartbeat if it hadn’t been the situation that we were dealing with with COVID.”
