Boston Rob Mariano Confirmed To Host ‘Deal Or No Deal Island’

Rob Mariano, also known as “Boston Rob,” has made quite the name for himself on social media. In fact, Boston Rob might not have won during his appearance on Deal or No Deal Island‘s first season. However, he is set to now host the series’ after-show.
Boston Rob Has Competed In A Variety Of Shows Over The Years
Over the years, Boston Rob has appeared in a variety of shows in the Survivor franchise, such as Survivor: Marquesas and Survivor: All-Stars. He’s also competed on The Amazing Race.
Over the years, Mariano has occasionally performed hosting duties for a variety of shows. The includes 2004’s The Player, 2006’s Sci Fi Investigates, and 2011’s Around the World in 80 Ways.

More recently, Boston Rob appeared on Deal or No Deal Island. This spin-off of Deal or No Deal featured contestants competing on an island in the hopes of winning briefcases with cash values.
However, Mariano did not win the game, being eliminated by the penultimate episode. That said, according to Entertainment Weekly, he’ll still be heading back to the island for the second season.
Instead of competing, however, Boston Rob will be using his experience with hosting to use. He will now serve as the official after-show’s host, Deal or No Deal Island After Show with Boston Rob.
Boston Rob Promised ‘It’s Going To Be Epic TV’ In A Teaser
According to the publication, NBC also promoted the news in a statement. As it read, “Each week Rob will sit down with eliminated players to break down gameplay, talk drama on the island and share never-before-seen footage from the show.”
NBC also promoted the upcoming after-show with a teaser on its official YouTube channel. As the description read, “Deal or No Deal Island all-star Rob Mariano is back to break down this season’s gameplay in the official DONDI After Show, every Wednesday on YouTube and Peacock!”
In the video, Boston Rob said, “We have our first official iced tea time after show.” Seen talking to a contestant, he shared, “You made some massive – I don’t want to call them mistakes – egregiously bad decisions.” He also promises, “It’s going to be epic TV.”
As previously reported, Mariano previously teased he was working on a new show with fans on an Instagram story. However, at the time, the exact show was kept a secret. At the time, some fans suspected he would be competing on Deal or No Deal‘s second season.
The after-show will be available on Peacock, the NBC YouTube channel, and NBC.com every Wednesday. This will follow the airing of new episodes of the main series on Tuesday nights.
In spite of his new hosting duties, Mariano hasn’t given up on competing altogether. Notably, around this time, he is slated to appear on the third season of The Traitors.
