George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts discussed Taylor Swift during a segment on Good Morning America. Both hosts have a huge admiration for the singer and shared their love for her during the segment. This led George to come up with a great idea for the show, which was mostly in jest, but Robin told him not to tempt fate.

Here is what George suggested and why Robin warned him to be careful what he asks for.

George Stephanopoulos Pitches GMA Taylor Swift Idea

George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts discussed Taylor Swift on Good Morning America this week. Robin teased an upcoming story about Taylor and how she recognized everyone behind her record-breaking Eras tour. They showed a clip of Taylor singing at a concert and overlaid it with “Shake It Off.”

“Swifties still trying to Shake it Off after Taylor Swift’s Eras tour came to a close,” Robin teased as she promoted the upcoming story. She then said that Lara Spencer would talk about it later on in the show, but that is when George jumped in with his suggestion.

“I heard you do that ‘Shake it Off,’ and I’m gonna give an idea to our producers. We could probably do a show where we reference a song in every introduction to every story,” George said.

Robin Roberts laughed about it, but then she warned George to be careful. She said, “Don’t challenge them! They will do it.” George then teased that one of the producers was ‘in” on his concept for the show, and it could happen.

The entire staff of Good Morning America seems to be fans of Taylor Swift. Robin Roberts went to an Eras concert with her wife, Amber, and George took his daughter. While he said it was a dad moment, he still called it the best show he had ever seen.

Good Morning America Fans Love George’s Idea

Robin Roberts told Geroge to be careful about what he mentioned because of the producers, but the fans chimed in and wanted to see it happen. Many of them flocked to the comments on GMA’s Instagram post about the discussion.

Here is a sampling:

  • “Would be the best Christmas gift to us viewers!! Please do it.”
  • “Love all them their the best love each one of their personalities they complement each other very well!!!”
  • “Totally in.”

It was a small moment of fun, but it also showed how much love George, Robin, and the rest have for Taylor Swift.
