With The View about to go on its holiday break, the ladies don’t have much time to get in their Christmas segments. This week, Whoopi Goldberg and Sara Haines had a chance to participate in a fun segment where they showed off the best toys on sale for families this Christmas.

However, while playing with the toys, the two hosts had an accident that almost left Whoopi down and out. Here is what happened.

Whoopi Goldberg & Sara Haines Have Accident On-Air

Whoopi Goldberg has a reputation for loving to play with toys. That means that when The View has its episodes showing off new toys for Christmas, Whoopi is there to take part in the festivities. However, things almost went bad when Sara Haines started playing with the toys, too.

Whoopi was more than happy to explore the new toys with Sara when toy expert Elizabeth Werner brought out the “hottest” toys of the year for Christmas. These toys included a story bear, Legos, a remote-controlled gecko, and a Godzilla toy. The toys also included Razor crazy carts, a type of go-kart.

Sara got into one and began to roll it around the set, seemingly having a blast as she rode around in it. However, as she was doing laps of the table with the toys, she ran into Whoopi, who was watching her. Whoopi almost fell, but she caught herself.

Sara was quickly concerned and checked on Whoopi, who said, “It’s all right, it’s all right.” Sara then wrapped up the segment and tried to laugh it off while Whoopi smiled as well.

The View Fans Blast Sara Haines For Reckless Behavior

While Sara Haines quickly checked on Whoopi Goldberg, and it was all in good fun, The View fans had to chime in and blast the host for being reckless.

Here is a sample of what fans had to say after watching this segment (via Monsters & Critics):

  • “SARA being reckless!”
  • “Sara tried to take out Whoopu today, the camera man was in on it.”
  • “Ouch Woopi. I hope you are ok!”
  • “I Love Whoopi but that was hilarious.”

There is only one week of shows left before The View takes off for its holiday break. While it is unknown what Sara Haines will be doing over the holidays, it is good that Whoopi wasn’t injured in this accident. She has a big gig on Broadway where she will star in the stage show, Annie.

Whoopi will play Miss Hannigan during Annie‘s holiday run at Madison Square Garden. She will be in the role from December 11 to January 5, and then someone else will replace her.
