Jimmy Fallon Responds To Losing ‘Sexiest Man’ To Mark Consuelos
Jimmy Fallon was in a heated battle with Mark Consuelos to win the PEOPLE Magazine Sexiest Man Alive award for the talk show category. Jimmy was asking people to vote for him, while Mark said he would probably vote for Jimmy, too. In the end, the public voted for Mark, and he won the award for the second year in a row.
Jimmy just admitted to what he did after Mark won the award.
Jimmy Fallon Responds To Mark Consuelos Winning Sexiest Man
Jimmy Fallon pushed hard to win the PEOPLE Magazine Sexiest Man Alive award in the talk show category. He asked his fans nightly to vote for him over Mark Consuelos. However, in the end, fans went with Mark for the second year in a row. Mark was gracious during the battle and didn’t mind if Jimmy won.
It turns out that Jimmy didn’t care that much after the fact, either. This week, Jimmy was on Live with Kelly and Mark, discussing the heated competition for the award. After the winner was announced, Jimmy sent Mark some flowers.
Kelly Ripa called it “the most consequential flower arrangement I’ve ever seen.” The vase stood four feet tall and overflowed with white roses. Mark guessed there were probably 500 white roses in there, but Mark thought the number might be higher. Mark Consuelos stands 5’8,” and he said the arrangement was taller than he was.
There was also a card. It read: “To the Sexiest Talk Show Host out there: There was never really any competition — Jimmy.”
Jimmy Fallon Talks Flower Gift To Mark Consuelos
Jimmy Fallon appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark to discuss his new Christmas album, Holiday Seasoning, which is currently a No. 1 hit on the Billboard charts. However, the conversation drifted to The Sexiest Man Alive competition and the flowers Jimmy sent Mark.
“PEOPLE’s Sexiest Talk Show Host and everyone voted, and Mark Consuelos mopped the floor with me,” Fallon said (via PEOPLE). “And he won. And you really did it and you deserve it.”
Kelly joked that “it got ugly, it got dirty.” Jimmy aired some ads attacking Mark during the competition and even asked the Live with Kelly & Mark host to drop out. Mark said he tried to drop out, but PEOPLE said it wasn’t allowed.
“I did ask them after the fact if it was close, and they said it was very close,” Mark said. “You won the electoral college.” However, Jimmy was having none of it. He said that not only did Mark not drop out, but looking around New York City, he saw Mark with no clothes on.
