‘Bachelor’ Colton Underwood Shares Why 2024 Was So Special
Colton Brown-Underwood recently talked about the happiness he’s had over this past year. In particular, the Bachelor star talked about what especially made things special for him. The reality star has also regularly kept fans updated about this year on social media.
Colton Underwood Went From The Bachelorette To The Bachelor
Underwood is a former professional football player and television personality. In the world of reality television, he served as a contestant on the 14th season of The Bachelorette.
Underwood would later become the lead of the 23rd season of The Bachelor. In 2021, he would come out as gay in an interview with Good Morning America. This makes him the first lead on The Bachelor to publicly identify as gay.
In 2021, Underwood also confirmed he was in a relationship with political strategist Jordan C. Brown. By 2023, the two were married.
Talking with People, Underwood recently talked about this past year. As he shared with the publication, “It’s been the best year of my life.” He also added, “I’m still very much coming into everything.” He added, “I’m still very much coming into everything.”
The Reality Star Has Been Keeping Fans Updated About His Life On Instagram
Underwood noted one thing in particular that helped make the past year the best for him: his son Bishop. He shared, “I have the best husband, the best family. I can’t even put into words what it means. I’ve always wanted to be a dad and to have little Bishop — our family is the best.”
The reality star noted how his current life is something he didn’t imagine he’d have. He noted, “I would have never envisioned this version of myself. I never thought that I could be who I am today out loud and, you know, have a husband and a son.”

The proud father has also shared a few photos of his new addition to the family on Instagram. Back in October, the family shared their Ratatouille-themed Halloween costumes. In it, baby Bishop is seen dressed like Remy amongst a pair of chefs.
In another post, Underwood shared a photo of himself watching football with Bishop. As he wrote, “We love Thursday night football and the Niners in this house.” Notably, Underwood and his “twin” were wearing matching outfits.

As previously reported, Underwood wanting to share football with Bishop reflects previous comments about raising his son. According to Us Weekly, he shared “There’s no hiding. I definitely live my life differently in a way of understanding that my son is going to be watching me when he grows up.”
“I try to make him proud in everything that I do. That’s sort of been my north star with the trajectory of my career right now — when all is said and done, I wanna make entertainment and I wanna make this place and this world a better place and more loving and understanding.”
