‘Southern Charm’ Madison LeCroy Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
Southern Charm‘s Madison LeCroy recently opened up about how a cancer diagnosis has recently impacted her family. Taking to the confessional, the reality star managed to share the story with viewers during a recent episode. She also revealed how she shared the news with other members of her family.
The News Came Out Around The Time Of Madison LeCroy’s One-Year Wedding Anniversary
Madison has appeared on and off Southern Charm throughout its run. Early on, she functioned as a “guest” or “friend.” However, she joined the main cast around the seventh and ninth seasons, continuing on to Season 10.
The star recently opened up about her husband Brett Randle’s current health concerns. During the December 12 episode, she discussed Brett’s battle with thyroid cancer.
Taking to the confessional, Madison shared, “Unfortunately, Brett was diagnosed with thyroid cancer toward the end of last year around our one-year wedding anniversary.” She noted, “I thought, ‘Like, how? I’m finally happy.’ It’s just scary.”
As noted by E! News, Brett, who works as a firefighter, himself noted he felt “pretty good” after surgery. However, he noted he still needed more post-op care.
As Brett shared with Madison, “I have to go see a specialist for it.” He continued that, “It’s like two stages. I gotta go see an ENT for it and then probably have to do some type of therapy or something.”
Brett also shared that he currently has issues swallowing. At one point, he compared the sensation to “a marble that’s stuck there.”
Madison Noted That There Still Are Bad Days
Despite this, Brett still tried to smile, assuring Madison that, “I’m getting used to it.” In turn, Madison told her husband, “We’ll get you fixed.”
In the confessional, Madison continued to share the duress the situation has put her under. As she admitted, “I’m thankful that Brett was able to go in and they removed a three-centimeter nodule.” She continued, “So, the cancer is gone, but now he’s having complications. I feel like we can’t catch a f–king break.”

Madison also talked about how the situation has impacted her son Hudson, who she shares with ex John Hughes. She noted, “I told Hudson that Brett was sick, but I didn’t go into detail about what cancer can do to someone.” She added, “I try not to let Hudson see me emotional because I have to be strong for my family.”
While Brett has his good days, Madison also acknowledged that things aren’t easy. She noted, “Some days I just want to, like, scream. It can be anything that triggers me, whether that be someone saying, ‘When are you having a child?’ I mean, we were just kind of starting to plan. But that’s on pause for now.”
