‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Call Out Ryan Seacrest For Unfair Ruling

Wheel Of Fortune: Ryan Seacrest

When it comes to Ryan Seacrest and his new Wheel Of Fortune gig, he is constantly compared to previous iconic host, Pat Sajak. Based on recent scenes, fans called Ryan out for an unfair ruling, as he did something that Pat would not have done. So, what happened with this situation, and what are people saying?

Wheel Of Fortune: Fans Have Been Calling Out Ryan Seacrest’s Mistakes

From the moment Ryan Seacrest filmed his first Wheel Of Fortune episode, viewers have been picking his performance as the new host apart. Whenever Ryan does something different from how Pat Sajak would, or whenever he tries to add his own personal touch to things, viewers call him out.

While some Wheel Of Fortune fans have grown to like Ryan Seacrest as the new host of the game show, many still regularly call him out for failing to fill Pat Sajak’s shoes. However, some have also praised Seacrest for doing his best with what he has had, especially walking onto an iconic set like the Wheel Of Fortune set.

Seacrest Makes Controversial Ruling In Recent Scenes

In recent Wheel Of Fortune scenes, fans of the game show went after Ryan Seacrest for essentially costing a player money with his controversial ruling. In recent scenes, the players on the show had the chance to solve a puzzle in the Food And Drink category.

Some of the guesses for this Wheel Of Fortune puzzle included: “Well-seasoned meat,” and more. One player got the correct answer, which was “Well-Balanced Meal,” but there was a problem. The one thing this player forgot to do was ring the buzzer before answering.

Players have to “ring in” before giving an answer on Wheel Of Fortune. Unfortunately for one player, she did not do this before she gave out her answer, causing Ryan Seacrest to not give her the money she should have otherwise got for technically getting the puzzle correct.

Wheel Of Fortune: Fans Slam Ryan Seacrest, Say Pat Sajak Would Have Handled It Better

The way most fans see it, this recent player got the answer correct, even if she didn’t technically buzz in first to get the answer. Most fans feel that Ryan Seacrest was a little too harsh for calling out this technicality.

Even though the judges sided with Ryan, many felt this call was unnecessary, and that they should have given the woman credit for getting the answer correct.

  • One fan said: “Wheel Of Fortune did Jenn dirty.”
  • A second person wrote: “Really????? Lame technicality ruling. Common sense would be evident if your the last person in the round there would be no need to buzz. DUH!”

In addition, one fan brought up a scenario in which this exact situation happened to Pat Sajak. He eventually rewarded the person for their response, which is exactly what many people think Ryan Seacrest should have done in this case. In this example, many agree that Pat Sajak would have handled this situation even better than Ryan.

  1. In the game Wheel if Fortune if you are supposed to buzz in then yes no matter what, even if you are the only one. If you can shout out the answer without buzzing in then during the round any would be able to shout out the answer. I say that Ryan did the right thing., for not letting her have it, that is what makes a host a very good host by playing by the rules

  2. Good job, Ryan! If you allow it once, then you would have to bend the rule over and over. Then, why have the rule. If it were Jeopardy, and a contestant gave a response without it being a question, it would not have been accepted. Once you give in, then the question becomes: within how many seconds do you allow the response without ringing in?

Good call, Ryan Seacrest! You are doing a great job! My husband and I love watching the wheel again.
