‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Fans Say Ryan Seacrest Cost Player A Win
In his first season as the Wheel of Fortune host, Ryan Seacrest has had his fair share of hits and misses. Many fans say he had one of his misses this past week. Many fans watched a player lose, blaming Ryan for the loss. They also said Pat Sajak wouldn’t have allowed this to happen while hosting the show.
Here is what Ryan Seacrest apaprantly missed out on and why fans blame him for the loss.
Fans Feel Ryan Seacrest Should Have Warned Player On Wheel Of Fortune
During a Wheel of Fortune episode this week, a player named Oleh was playing a puzzle and decided he would try to solve it early. However, this was a mistake. He ended up with $14,000 at the end of the round and lost out on the Bonus Round to a player named Kathryn, who had $14,176.
Fans say things could have been different had Ryan Seacrest warned Oleh about his decision. According to many fans, Pat would have explained the rules to the player and let him know he might want to spin one more time to maximize their points.
One person wrote that the player could have gotten an extra $6,000 but instead tried to solve it right away and gave up the chance for all that money. It also cost him the Bonus Round.
Here is what the fans had to say (via Reddit):
- “People do this all the time, or at least try to. Pat was great at always reminding them to call another letter first though”
- “I’m pretty sure Ryan did the same thing in his first or second episode, which was passable since he was new. But now?”
- “And they’re all cheering like he didn’t miss out on $6k and going to the final round. Ryan acted like a complete amateur, not reminding him to guess a letter.”
Ryan Seacrest Coming Into His Own On Wheel Of Fortune
While many fans felt Ryan Seacrest should help out the contestants who might not understand the rules, others feel it isn’t his job. Ryan shouldn’t need to hold their hands if a person comes on the show and doesn’t know how to play.
However, as the season wears on, Ryan seems to be getting more comfortable with his role as host. At the start of the season, many felt he wasn’t showing empathy or acting “human” when dealing with the players. However, as time goes on, he seems to be getting used to the role and understanding how to deal with the players – winners and losers.
