During Operation Italy, Caroline Vidmar was sent home, ending her game as a player. Andy Rueda, Genevieve Mushaluk, and Sam Phalen pulled off the coup that eliminated her and sent her to the jury. She will now vote for the winner when the season finale arrives.

After her elimination, Caroline has done some interviews. In one of them, she was asked about the dirt on Sue’s face. The person conducting the interview asked why Caroline didn’t tell Sue that she had dirt on her face. However, Caroline said that she did tell her (via Parade).

“I did! Every single day,” Caroline said. ” I tried so hard. Rachel did too. Other tribe mates did too.” She then explained that it wasn’t dirt. According to the eliminated islander, it was “mostly soot” on Sue’s face. She said Sue would tend to the fire a lot, and that is how she got so much of the soot on her face that the audience saw.

“The way she would attend to the fire is by moving things around in a way where her hands were very sooty,” Caroline said. “And she would touch her face quite a bit. So we would spend a lot of time trying to scrub it off her face. But it was caked in there.” Sue kept the fire going, which made her end up with soot all over herself. She didn’t seem to care how it made her look.
