‘Survivor 47’ Sneak Peek Offers Look At First Challenge
Survivor 47 premieres tonight, and there is a sneak peek at what to expect from the new season. The sneak peeks show the new competitors and the games played this season. The new season premiere will run for two hours, featuring a new look at a returning game.
Here is what we learned from the sneak peek at the new season of Survivor.
Survivor 47 Tribe Names
Jeff Probst started off the Survivor 47 sneak peek by assigning names to each of the tribes. Here is a look at the names of the tribes and who is in each of them.
The Tuku tribe: Gabe Ortis, TK Foster, Sue Smey, Kyle Ostwald, Tiyana Hallums, and Caroline Vidmar. This tribe wears the blue buffs.
The Lavo tribe: Teeny Chirichillo, Aysha Welch, Genevieve Mushaluk, Rome Cooney, Kishan Patel, and Sol Yi. This tribe wears the red buffs.
The Gata tribe: Jon Lovett, Sierra Wright, Sam Phalen, Anika Dhar, and Andy Rueda. This tribe wears the yellow buffs.
One of the key new players is Gabe Ortis, who says in the sneak peek how he will help his tribe move on in the competition. “When it comes to work, I’m a grinder, man,” Gabe said. I try to lead by example, and I’ve had to be the guy that says, ‘I’m just as tired as you are, but if I’ve got energy to keep going, I know for sure you have got energy to keep going.'”
Survivor 47 Previews The First Reward Challenge
There was a second Survivor 47 sneak peek at the premiere, and it shows the first reward challenge. This is the opening challenge that has happened since the New Era began. Players have a chance to earn supplies when the tribes hit the beach.
Jeff Probst sends the players for the first reward challenge, where they must crawl under a net and through a mud pit. “We’re going out in pairs to get through that mud,” Jeff says in the teaser clip. “That mud is birthing you into Survivor right there.”
It looks like Kyle Ostwald (Tuku tribe) finishes first and goes through the course of giant puzzle pieces. What he has to do with these pieces remains to be seen. This opening challenge also has a new twist: The winning tribe gets the supplies needed to build a shelter and boil water.
The losing tribes will move on and take part in a revamped Sweat vs. Savvy.
Survivor 47 airs on Wednesday night, September 18, at 8/7c on CBS. The season premiere is called “One Glorious and Perfect Episode.”
