Jamie Foxx Finally Reveals Medical Scare In Netflix Comedy Special
Jamie Foxx had a major health scare last year. While he was in the hospital, and many people said his life was in danger, his family kept things private. They never told anyone what had happened to him, even after he had started to recover and moved back into his acting career. Now, Jamie has a comedy special coming on Netflix, and Foxx has finally revealed what happened to him.

Jamie Foxx Explains What Happened Last Year In Medical Emergency
Jamie Foxx filmed his new Netflix stand-up special, Jamie Foxx, What Had Happened Was…, at several locations over the past few months. While the event does not hit Netflix until December 10, people who attended the shows had a lot to say about what he said during the special.
According to people in attendance, he said that he was filming the Netflix movie Back in Action in Georgia in April 2023 (via Instagram). He said that he had a sudden, intense headache. He then went to a friend and asked for Advil. This then led to a more serious medical emergency.
“I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything,” Foxx said. He also said he was “seconds and moments away from death” (via PEOPLE). He said that he collapsed to “severe exhaustion,” and his “body was just completely worn out.” He said this was both because of his age and his physical strain.
Foxx said he lost consciousness in an elevator and remembers nothing after that. He said he had intensive rehabilitation, which he goes into detail about in the comedy special. He said he had to relearn basic motor skills when he finally regained consciousness weeks later. It sounds like it was as bad as most people feared.

The Jamie Foxx comedy special will hit Netflix on December 10. Title Jamie Foxx, What Had Happened Was… was shot over numerous stand-up comedy dates and was compiled for the special that Netflix will air exclusively.
Not only that, but this comedy special is also the first time that Jamie has talked publicly about his health scare. It is its biggest selling point. Foxx said all along that he wouldn’t reveal his medical news until he could do it his way. That turned out to be via a comedy stand-up act, which brought him back to the stage for the first time in years.
