‘Yellowstone’ Fans Confused After Major Change To Popular Character

With Yellowstone attempting to tie up loose ends leading up to the eventual series finale, viewers were left scratching their heads following a recent change to a beloved character. So, what did the writers do this time that is confusing a lot of people?
Yellowstone Is Coming To An End
Since it premiered in 2018, Yellowstone has been one of the top scripted dramas around. Viewers have been swept up by Taylor Sheridan’s epic tale of the Dutton family and their extensive backstory. While Sheridan has had a chance to flesh out his characters and family history even more in all of the spinoffs, it’s the original show that got most people hooked.
Unfortunately for fans of the show, the Yellowstone series finale is coming up fast, airing on December 15, 2024. So, it won’t be long before this chapter of the Dutton family closes and rides off into the sunset. The good news is, however, that the universe that Taylor Sheridan created is still alive and well.

Fans Confused By Change To Beloved Character
With Yellowstone nearing its conclusion, that means that loose ends need tying as this story comes to a close. While most viewers are still mourning the death of John Dutton and cheering for the demise of Sarah Atwood, fans were left scratching their heads over a change to the character of Lloyd.
Over the years on Yellowstone, Lloyd has been Rip’s right-hand man, and one of the few people trusted to take people to “the train station.” However, fans noticed a peculiar change, more specifically, to Lloyd’s last name on the show.
Throughout the show, Lloyd’s last name was Pierce. However, in recent scenes, he was referenced as “Lloyd Bridger.” This is something that certainly confused viewers.

Is There An Explanation For This On Yellowstone?
Since this came to light in Yellowstone scenes, there have been some fan theories speculating on the possible reasoning behind this last name change. Perhaps the most obvious one is that Lloyd could be using an alias.
With all the shady things Lloyd, Rip, and the rest of the gang have done, it would not be surprising to have an alias or two in the back pocket.

Whether or not there was a deeper meaning behind this, it won’t be much longer now until Yellowstone wraps for good. So, there is a lot of hype leading up to the series finale, which airs on Sunday, December 15, on Paramount Network.
